Brainiac's slogan is "Science abuse", and that's sort of what it is. They blow shit up and humiliate people, and measure something about a third of the time. The outcome of experiments is, as previously noted, mostly predetermined.

It's a fun show, though. We get it occasionally here in the United States.

yeh Brainiac is complete rubbish from a science point, its dam funny well was with hamster  but mythbusters proved that 1 of there experiments was faked (the caesium and rubidium 1 ) and most of the other stuff they do is either stupid or completely fake

I am really saddened (in certain aspects) of the prevalence of CGI special effects, especially because I just "got" interested in practical modeling. CG effects just don't have that "blood, sweat, and tears" factor for me.

I saw that show a few times and it seemed as though they would create an experiment with a predetermined result as their goal, and that's not how science works.
