I chatte with a man this morning who knew Mr. Layne. He was an agnostic, was imprisioned fro corruption, spent 18 years in there and while he was there he was preached the Good News, He then had a dream, JESUS CHRIST Came to him and he received Chtrist as Lord and Savior and was what Jesus called, ''BORN AGAIN.'' Praise God who knwos how to save us.

You will never see this kind of sincere love for God in any other religion. This Man now knows personally, the true , living God of the Bible. And He also knows that the same God knows and loves Him. This is the relationship We as Christians experience. This is our assurance that we are going to be in paradise. This does not come from our oiwn works that cannot save us, it comes from God who is in Him.

Musiaka66, you are a person with lots of things ahead of you, and you will have time to understand what made Tamrat, once a war hero, to look pathetic (according to you) when he is not. He is a changed man in the right direction by rejecting everything he could have been proud of. It takes a heart transplant to comprehend the whole thing he talks about and to see his real qualities. GodsSeer,St. Paul is speaking to people who do not understand the power of God revealed in His Word, and who just only use the Word without experiencing its renewing power. Yes, God is just and punishes sin, therefore let His Son Jesus Christ die on the cross on our behalf, including Tamrat. The old Tamrat is no more exists, because he is dead. The one who lives now is a different Tamrat, born -again without any relationship to the one you knew before. This testimony true and correct. (BIBLE)

Tamirat Layne'story is a story of God's grace and mercy. He was involved in politics since a very young age and he travelled dangerous roads in his life. He could have been killed numerous times but he survived for a reason. Many of his contemporaries were killed by the bloody period our country passed thru after Emperor Haile Sellasie. His is a very unfortunate generation. I bless the Lord Jesus Christ for extending His Loving arm and giving him a second chance. Lets stop Judgment.

God will not just forgive arbritrarily without upholding His word in His law. He does not make laws and then just pardon with no penalty for wrongs. God is just, The wages of sin is death, all have sinned, all deserve death. You cannot secure life by law.

if you read a Bible 2Cor 4, you will find an amazing story about Apostle Paul that he started his ministry by claiming that the mercy of God has granted him favor towards people, we accepted Paul and his teaching because God has granted mercy on HIM, not because he is a right with God personsame with this VideoGod GRANTED MERCY FOR TAMRAT. Why is this so hard to acceptit is not us who granted the mercy, it is God, so we shouldnt have a problem with that.

What I saw in this video is very heart breaking because confession and repentance are one of the hardest things to do I found in my life time.
