I'm really angry that there isn't music like this anymore, all music is going down the drain except for some Icelandic music. it's basically just the difference between 'sometimes' by britney vs 'til the world ends' by britney... music & style changes with time, also grows up with their audience. if a scene doesnt keep moving it dies faster, thats all... and it repeats itself over decades with all different genres. its just kinda a general thing with not necessarily music but just the music industry. it's just an ongoing cycle and comes back round full circle, paricularly per generation, fresh target audience.

K-Pop has certainly come a long way. Especially the music videos. I only discovered this song by watching Big Bang parody it. It was so funny and I wanted to hear the real song and I have to say it's really good.

@decembersnoww 5 years? this is more than 10 years ago kiddo. Kpop did change a lot, especially in the last 3 years, but this is what lead to the current crop of girl groups. W/O SES and FinKL, there will be no SNSD (SM) and KARA (DSE) and other girl groups. The korean entertainment industry back them was weak and getting a beating from Japanese and HK industries... SES raised the bar and prove that Koreans CAN have a successful idol group.
i think some people like old kpop better because it's just straight up, GOOD natural pop music. There is not alot of repetative hooks in old-kpop, compared to today, like Gee, Sorry Sorry, etc where theres alot of overlapping beats & high-tech syncs and stuff. it was just good music because you can sing along to it without the "super-glam" additions.
With this song, it's a nice tune with a chorus that's catchy without having to add much to it. Sometimes, pop music is better that way. SES! <3

@angskeet there are some new kpop groups who can sing great!...t-ara and miss A...try to listen to their songs....they can sing pretty well...although t-ara's i go crazy because of you doesn't prove it...search for their song FALLING U, lies,good person and the ballad version of lies...for miss a...i think their debut song can prove that they have good vocals without autotune...

Even for me, I really like the older sound because it is nostalgic and the actual musical style is different.... not because the singers act cutesy and have a different fashion trend.
Basically, the people who do remember the old kpop feel nostalgia. I was very little during the time SES was big but I do remember well enough to notice that there seems to be huge difference between now and then. Perhaps newer audiences do not notice the difference. I always thought it has changed over time.

there's way many differences! The new kpop is mainly autotuned and were all focus on dance choreo and looks but old kpop tends to focus on voices only:)) And old kpop tends to have a cute concept. I like both new and old kpop but there's really a difference.

@bernidamm i know what you mean...I didn't even grow up with kpop or anything. Only about 5 years ago was a I truly introduced to korean music, but just listening to today's kpop and the 90s kpop you get different FEELINGS ...its def hard to explain. I myself love a lot of the 90s music.

@BankaixEspada old kpop as in the 1991 to 1993 debut thats the old og kpop then other groups came out if u look at H.O.T. Baby Vox and compare them to kpop now days its completly different

@colcola77 I don't know about 2002. In 2002 I was already in college and I clearly remember this song in highschool. In fact S.E.S's third album came out when I was still in Highschool and this was their 2nd album.
