  • Hey great video man, you can get those butterbuds on amazon are £5 for 40 pack and come in handy. Keep em coming.

  • @CragScrambler Hey thanks for the feedback and info' on the buds, will defoe check it out & source some for trail & storage. Cheers!

  • Just watched your first installment of this 3 day wildcamp and loving it cant wait to see the next part, BUT i like to savour your vids so dont get too down if i dont comment straight away lol.

Your vids are some of my favourites on youtube i think because i envy you and would like to do similar as this is true wildcamping and survival very different to what i do.

Pete you will never make a ultra light backpacker mate.

  • @daveswildcamping Hey "beef" :-)) at least you're out there braving all weathers & not just showing everyone your tent & kit in your back garden like some do LoL. Was a light packer few yrs ago b4 getting back onto the waters, mind you I've been recently assessing light kit again as I'm considering few escapades on foot in near future. Meanwhile I'll continue to cart shed loads of food & let the ol' canoe take the strain :-)))) Thanks for faving my stuff & keep doing wot you do m8. Cheers!

  • Your videos are as smooth as a good jazz my friend.. They're a bit high in calories too. They always make me hungry at least... : o) Very nice time Pete, I love the way you set up your shelter. Gives you the freedom to stretch out and move around. Beautiful little walk about too. Thanks for letting me tag along my friend : )

  • @saradreaming Nice feedback Sara, thank you. Plenty of basha space to eat, sit, move and see what's around...mainly to eat though :-)))) Have done in the past but hope to vid diary it in the future - shelter space using tree bough, branches and foliage. I really like a walk about in the deep undergrowth and foliage, unusual bit n bobs, flips n flops to see :-) You are welcome to tag with it anytime and thanks for joining me my friend in wilderness. All the best - "being out there".

    Pete

  • Another cracking video. I was just wondering what slingshot you have? I remember you mentioned that you have one in a previous video. I`m looking at all the different slingshots at the moment but not sure which one I am going to get.

  • @byronlegend Catty = Armey "Striker", simple hollow moulded handle can slide off metal handle frame. Similar to the Barnett Strike9/Storm. Cattys with wrist frame support can restrict quick response impromptu targeting. Once i get vid editer sorted will be reviewing the catty/use and pistol crossbow. Cheers.

  • @MINDWISEMAN Thanks. I`ll look forward to it.

  • whats the make of the boat, thanks

  • @saswales Sevylor Colorado, 3 chamber = 2x sides 1x base hull. Deflation repair vid up soon and then eventual full canoe review when the editing gets sorted.

  • @MINDWISEMAN thanks

  • @MINDWISEMAN I Purchased a Sevylor Colorado canoe after watching your videos Pete. They are a fantastic bit of kit and i'll be looking forward to your review on it:)

  • @garygoggin New toy.....nice one :-) Trying to re upload repair vid - probs at the moe, hopefully sorted next few days. Cheers

  • Love watching your adventures while I'm drinking my morning coffee.

  • @enjoythewildUSA Thanks for the feedback, I hope you were able to savour both :-)

  • Looks like you had fun so far Pete, I'm off to see pt2...LOL. Take Care :-))

  • @SurviveN2 Thanks D, see you there :-)

  • Great vid, Pete. I enjoyed it. Aloha, J.

  • @TheHomeDefender Thanks a lot for your likeing :-)

  • Great vid mate, I didn't know Hawthorne berries were safe to eat. I'll have a bit of a read on it and add that to my safe list. :)

  • @Smith28Adventure Thanks. Haws a bit bland raw but are better made into jelly or liquer for meats, otherwise add some sweet fruit or sugar if using with beads or desserts. Small young leaves great with salad or savoury sandwiches. Usaually near to hawthorn trees you'll find sloe berries = sour but great infused with achohol or sweet berries recipes. Cheers

  • Nice video, and I enjoyed the Carrickfergus instrumental.

  • @gloorbit Thanks for the comment! :-)

  • The island is fantastic Pete, nice to explore the possibilities! Nice set-up too, with loads of good food, what more can you want. Nice one Pete. Part 2 now :-)

  • @007vauxhall Your summed it up in a sentence Paul - good times. Cheers buddy

  • That island looks big!! Are there lots of islands like this that you can camp on the Thames?

Great vid as always, looks like you had a great time

  • @TheAncientMariner66 Thanks for the feedback m8. A few islands dotted about every 2 to 5 mls give or take. But some are signed private/no mooring or can have barbed wire around perimeter. Then you've got the odd one that is literally a mass/clump of trees/foliage with not much terra firma. It's all good times though :-) Cheers

  • Great times my friend! Man, I really need to go camping with you... love all that good food! ;-)

  • @intenseangler LoL....your mobile food stock is as limited as ones imagination, eating outdoors......food for the soul :-)

  • Looked like a great time Pete.

    Nate

  • @CdnLifeguard71 Yes Nate, good times outdoorsing it. Cheers m8

  • Glad your packing for a week...that would get heavy carrying all of that. Liked it though....

  • @TheSnowhammer On foot with all that food?.....it aint happening unless you've got a sherpa or a pack horse :-)

  • Nice one Pete. It's all ways good fun to go camping. Cant beat it. It nice to see some one else that likes their food. I'm always looking for new food ideas for camping grub. The idea of small dull meals fill me with dread. Something big and tasty after a day outdoors is just the thing.

  • @nathanshepherd1 I hear what you're saying :-) Yes a bit of interest and initiative in what you like to eat goes a long way when out wilding it, especially if you work out where it's not too bulky, awkward and reasonable to carry. Thats the beauty of the canoe.....load it up max (well not quite) and off you go - gourmet meals outdoors, tv chefs eat ya hearts out LoL. Cheers

  • Nice one Pete, you wern't joking when you said you love your food lol

  • @MrNishi LoL yes I know, takeing all that grub is not far off takeing the kitchen sink...... :-)

  • Thank you very much for sharing your adventures and insights! Great job, as always...

  • @hazeywolf Thanks for the feedback and likeing!

  • Love the wildcamp videos! Thanks for sharing your adventures and methods.

  • @Urbanwild1 Thanks for following the journeys and my ideas :-)

  • Nice video Buddy!

  • @meatmangary Much appreciated!

  • excellent vid sir!

  • @hobo31009 Thanks a lot!

  • Enjoyed the video.

I have just aquired a sevelor colorado canoe. Its great but I have a devil of a time trying to dry it out after a trip so it dosent smell moldy. Mine was bought used and there was a slight moldy smell from when I bought it. I might take a presure washer to it and see if that sorts it out.

  • @eamonn280958 Yes problem more likely the previous owner let it get real pungent by packing it away wet and dirty. Dirt will tend to breed the bacteria that gets impregnated into the nylon canvas hull. Inflate it, sponge wash with mild anti bac' detergent/bucket water 2 to 3 times at least then give it a good hose rinse (not pressure washer as it may stress the bladder seams) till there's no more suds/bubbles coming from the surface. It will never smell as new from the box but will defoe help.

  • Nice tarp config Pete.

You do like your Robinson Crusoe adventures. Use of the canoe as added shelter is great too..

those drop scones looked very tasty. I have been eating haw berries raw and to be honest they don't taste that good, but mixed with a little sugar I think they would be much better.

All the best and looking forward to part 2

    Sandy

  • @g0vqw Thanks Sandy. Blackberries with haws and dash of water heated as a fruit compot can work - out on the trail, without sugar unless you've got a real sweet tooth.

    Cheers m8ee

  • cool vid as allways looking forward to part 2

  • @bmthbad Thanks for your likeing !

  • Looks like you had a great time! What did doggie eat?

  • @smurfbike Yes real good times thanks. Dog has few treats - the odd plain bic, slither of campfire meat, the odd potatoe skin and raw carrot but mainly dog dry food.

  • Great vid, Pete. Thumbs up!

  • @TheSurviver72 Thanks a lot buddy !!

  • great vid, its nice to see someone who puts a little thought into their food selection, good food makes the trip so much more enjoyable, looking forward to part 2.

    seeya

    taff

  • @taff64 Hey Taff thanks for the feedback. You are so right, a bit of imagination and interest put to trail food really makes the enjoyable difference for sure :-)

  • Another great video. Great selection of food as always. You made me hungry.

  • @byronlegend Thanks m8, will have to develop some sort of scratch and snif the screen vids to complement the images Lol :-)

  • Hi buddy, nice to see you.

Very nice camp and delicious food.

Above all, the "flash" blueberries Bannock, looks delicious. ;-)

Have a good time, my friend.

    Greetings Tito

  • @Naturliebe Heyup Tito! Outdoor eating you can't beat it :-) Them ol' blue b bannocks were quality, will defoe do them again. "Be out there...." Cheers m8ee

  • Really love your videos. What do you do about the mosquitos while you're sleeping?

  • @baddogonline Thanks a lot. Never had a real prob' with mozzies (so far) but do use deet wipes and have a head net just in case. Cheers.

  • great video mate

  • @heavyp2008 Cheers m8ee

  • Great video,i felt like i was walking right with you, like to see you catch some fish! Peace............Art

  • @maxbigdog33 Thanks for joining me :-) yes when I can keep still for a good few hrs I'll do some fishing especially if it's edible. Cray fish nets the next thing on the list to do...watch this space :-)

  • Great Video, Looking forward to part 2.

  • @averagejoetactical1 Thanks very much for your appreciation!!

  • great video mate where is the butter sword gone

  • @mattdoughty1 Cheers Matty, butter sword will have to make a comeback soon LoL :-)

  • Great vid!!! I really enjoy watching, keep up the great work.

  • @LoneWolfTac79 Thanks a lot for your feedback, much appreciated!!

  • Love the vids as always!

    ★★★★★

  • @Ghillieinthebush Thanks for your likeing!!

  • someone who see things as i do cooking wise. as you canoe ever thought of trolling for fish while paddleing

  • @mazadan Yes m8 you're only as limited as your imagination or interest in food :-) I have single handed canoe rod 75cms with Abu reel - good little item, used off bank & in canoe. Considered getting troll motor - Sevy' 18lbs thrust using Sevy battery (3kg ish) only has about 30-40 mins power. Naughtical/car battery 3-4hrs power but....20kgs+ and bulky. Would defoe camp/troll etc if I had bigger structured canoe i.e. hard shell. One day maybe. Cheers
