@ualp90 It's a fair point and I DO get where you are coming from. However, as a comedian, you bring your 'life experience' to the stage. Your nationality and cultural background is a big part of that. You just can't escape it! So I talk about the funny side of growing up as a Pakistani immigrant in the UK and then moving to Saudi Arabia as a 'brown brit'. There's a comedy goldmine righ there! However, I do also talk about things not connected to these topics (honest!!). Thanks for the question!
@rehman123 hi mr rehman, I was just feeling a bit down and played your legendary scooby doo clip! This clip always makes me laugh so much, have u got any gigs coming in the midlands area in near future, I wanna come up and see you. Thnx for keeping us smiling .
@MrMagsimus Hey there. No gigs planned in the Midlands I'm afraid because I live in Saudi Arabia! But I'm really glad I'm able to cheer you up from so far away!
@k4l4m Actually, Omid wasn't the first to use this trick (although I'll admit, he IS the most famous!) and he probably wonlt be the last. I've shared the stage with Omid a few times and he has never complained to me! Thanks for the observation though! (hope you enjoyed the rest of the performance or did you just watch the first 30 seconds? :)
I do apologize if i have offended you but i stumbled across this video while watching maz jobrani!look all im trying to say is be more original thats all.
@shafa001 Hello again. Maz is another great performer and I've been lucky enough to share the stage with him several times recently (in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia). I didn't take offence at your comment (although it WAS rather directly put!). One of the risks of being on Youtube is that people will give you their 'gut' reaction - that can be an advantage and a disadvantage - Keep smiling and thanks again for your input.
@shafa001 Thank you for taking the time to comment. I actually accept all criticism - negative or positive as long as it is put politely. FYI - Omid Djalili was NOT the first person to switch accents on stage and nor will he be the last. It's a tried and tested technique. I spent two days with Omid last month in the Middle East and I can assure you he had no complaints about my performance.
Just came across rehman after watching Paul choudry and wow!! I didn't know great talent like this was out there with the Asians.. Thankyou mr rehman u had me in stiches .. Laughed so much with the Arab routine my sides hurt! Lol thnx guys
@MrMagsimus Thanks for the lovely comment. Glad I made your sides hurt! Paul is a great guy. We did a gig together for the BBC when I used to live in UK, hosted by the great Russell Peters - and Paul still (sort of) recognises me if I see him. He recently stopped in the middle of a performance in Edinburgh and said "Do I know you?". Thanks again for your comment.
Absolutely amazing stuff! I stumbled upon this video..didnt know if it was a pakistani guy telling jokes ... right when i am about to skip the video ...the accent switches! scooby was great! ! great saudi accent and guard stuff. ..love the whole joke man.. keep the good stuff going!
@pyaarbina1 LOL..I'm glad you didn't skip it and gave me a chance to make you laugh! Yes, I am a genuine Pakistani guy, but managed to lose the accent! Thanks for the great feedback. Much appreciated!
@B0ssPlayaz - Thanks a lot, bro. I appreciate you taking the time to comment. The dancing ability is a result of too many bhangra parties when I was at University! (I knew it would come in handy ONE day!). :D
Hi there..Firstly, MANY thanks for the lovely comments. Im glad you enjoyed the LOL 2 Tour. I had great fun performing in Riyadh and Jeddah. Comedy always risks causing some offense, but I happen to have a lot of affection and respect for Saudi people and usually show people that I'm willing to laugh at myself before making fun of others. Luckily, not a single Saudi has ever said they feel offended by my material. In fact they have given me the nickname: "Al Britanee". Hope that continues!
Thanx! Obviously it only works when I'm performing in front of new audiences who don't know me...but it's great fun watching their faces (isn't it?) LOL.
Funny you should say that! I've had several requests to perform in Toronto. It's a LONG way from Saudi Arabia, but I might just do it. Watch this space!
Thanks. The Saudi sketch was a big hit over here, even amongst the Saudis who DO see the funny side of it (lucky 4 me!). They even gave me the nickname "Al Britanee" !!
Thanks! I released a DVD earlier this year. A show called "Rehman & Friends" - over 2 hours of comedy from me and some of my comedian buddies. Drop me a message and let me know where you are - I'll see if I can get a copy to you!
I dont get it whenever a comedian is a diffrent ethnicity thay always have to make a big deal about it.

When he's making fun of your Brit nationality he's basically saying, 'Who are you kidding?'

MAN !! I loved the LOL comedy tour 2 , & I just couldn't stop laughing at your advice on emergencies ! " Amoeba !!! " that was really hilarious.
I would really like to see more jokes about the pakistani-saudi relationship & a lot about both countries is misunderstood.
I wanted to ask you : aren't you afraid that some Saudis may be offended?
I mean I wasn't offended by anything you said , but you know some of us are really proud !
looking forward to seeing you perform again.
GL :-)
