@jensejense It all depends on the dog itself,some rottweilers will have a slightly bigger frame than others,but I agree with you this rottie does look a bit over weight,either way they are fine looking dogs.I have been around rotties and mastiffs all my life and I will say that they are very loyal and affectionate and especially great with children.Hours of endless fun playing with them.They make the perfect family dog and will protect family with out a second thought..

The rottie and the bullmastiff both have huge power and courage. The difference is that the rottie will fight to the end. There are many tuff strong dogs that can fight and have the courage to do so. But very few have the guts to fight to the death. And thats what makes all the difference!

nope, because i have a bullmastiff and he's pedigree and papered and registered with the ckc, but he is only about 100 lbs. and only about 25 inches tall. the english mastiffs are huge, but a bullmastiff should be 110 to 130 pounds. however, i agree with you. this one doesn't look purebred.

In South Africa the Police lose their attack dogs all the time. The bad guys always wear a leather jacket. My 8 year old black lab was getting too fat and I started give him the Healthy Weight formula and he has lost 8 pounds in 4 months! Large breed dogs such as yours can develop a bad back as they get older. How old are your dogs? Just giving some advise from my own experiences. They are really cute!
