  • I like putting a thin'ish slice from a marinated rib eye steak and some sausage in there with some nice thick bacon at the top of the meat. top half of bun some thick bacon cheese rib eye steak cheese sausage slices lettuce for added crunch optional things here bottom half of bun Barely fits in my mouth when I make it. :D

  • either a weber one touch gold and chimney starter, cost you a total of around $170, or for a much easier and convinent grill use the one this guy in the video is using.

    he is using the weber performer, though you will need a propane tank for that.

  • actually bradyischamp, we're using a Weber table model they no longer produce. We don't have much use for their propane charcoal lighter feature in their Performer.

  • I think a lot of your burgers are let down by the buns you choose. Try to get some high quality fresh bread instead of those crappy buns you always seem to use. The rest of it looks fantastic dont get me wrong :)

Our series of burger vids emphasize the traditional, the classic American way to make a burger, and it don't get any better than that.   • american bacon is mostly fat and it only comes from one part of the animal, I'm British and our bacon is much better, and you can get bacon from other parts of the animal, in the USA it only comes from the belly.

  • not at all, i nearly always get cured or smoked british bacon. in america they don' even do it the proper way, they use what they call "liquid smoke" and just dip the pigs belly into it.

  • What brand coals are you using? Kingsford charcoal is pretty much tried and true.

  • mich... forgive me if im giving you info you already know, but what i've learned in the past (being a gas griller more so than coals (don't judge me people, im single, firing up coals for 1 piece of meat is expensive!!)) is that you have to keep your coals mounded to build heat from each other. if you spead them out, you will have very very low heat. Many recommend a coal chimmney to get em hot first, then dump em in the grill. Hope this helps!!

  • get a Weber charcoal chimney (make sure to get a Weber - I tried the cheap ones, and they SUCK). Fill the chimney to about 3 inches or so from the top. take 2 paper towels and spay each one for about 3 seconds with cooking spay (like Pam). place the paper towels on the charcoal grate and place the chimney over the paper towels and light the bottom of the chimney. In about 15-16 minutes, the coals will be ready to dump out. This Always works for me. and NEVER use Lighter Fluid!

  • If you push the middle of your burger down, making an indentation in the middle, it helps prevent the round cooked patty and makes it more uniformly flat.
