You can fix the butt dial thing with just setting a password and you can text better if you didn't have the nails because I have this phone and some days I hate the texting but I work with it because the word correction is good.. But you are the only one that said it sucks....

That is not a fair review of the phone there is a lock on the phone which you didnt mention. Sending text is easy for someone who doesnt have one inch nails and on top of that the phone put in the words you spelled wrong from texting which is a nice thing. When doing a review you have to cover both sides of the phone not all bad things one two good one's. My question is why would someone put a touch screen phone in there back pocket its not a flip phone. So keep you review balanced with no bias.

BTW, i noticed there was a loading session after you flipped it off sleep mode. I don't have that problem. Perhaps sprint fixed that because I've never seen that happen on my phone

If you only have one Gmail account that won't be a problem. It's a smart phone with tons of applications on it so of course it will take some time to load, a lot of phones that are crappy take just as long if not more, and yet there not good phones. If you don't like the lock screen cause hitting the menu button can unlock it and press tons of buttons, and waste your battery, then download a new lock system. The app store has tons of lock screens, including the slide to unlock like the Iphone.

1. You should never have to power the phone off. I never do and my phone works quite fast. 2. Why would anyone in their right mind have that phone in their back pocket? 3. I am quite the geek and I truly feel that this phone is the best on Sprint's network. Now the only flaws I have found is that it does lag from time to time and I don't like that you cannot use an ear piece to voice dial a phone thru bluetooth. Other than that, I like the phone more than I like the iphone.
There ARE reasons to turn it off, if a kid is in school, they have to turn their phone off. If it is easy to butt dial, it could start calling someone during class and hit speaker. Planes, if there is a person who runs around using planes all the time, they cant use the phone, they need to turn it off. If they need to hurry up and are doing 100 things at once, they can't call someone RIGHT when they get off because it takes forever and a half to start up. So think of problems others would have.
1. You don't HAVE to turn the phone off. If it needs to be silenced, you simply hold the power button for a bit and you have the option to put the phone into silent mode. 2. Butt dialing is not possible because you need your fingers to do anything on it. 3. While you are trying to give it a try to knock this phone i'm afraid not very many will agree with you. I find this phone to be almost flawless after having it for almost a month. Nice try though but not near enough IMHO.

Well if you hate the start up time, DO NOT get the Pre. It takes about 3+ minutes. Thats one of the things I like best about this phone, it starts up much faster than most smartphones.
Capacitive touchscreens are quickly becoming the standard, so pretty much any touchscreen phone you review going forward you will hate and call flawed simply because the tech doesn't work with your nails. Stick to reviewing phones with only qwerty keypads because its a technology "issue" not a HTC Hero one. The screen unlock point is valid and the boot time is long also. To call it the worst phone on Sprint kills any cred you have though. Its actually second best to the Pre despite YOUR issues..
get fucking normal finger , cut your fucking nails and than maybe you will be able to start typing on Hero
