@elusiveshame: I don't know, I've shopped there before and found a lot of their prices to be fair. I'm not really down with the 'no return' policy, but I haven't had a problem with their stuff yet. I might not agree with all their pricing, but if I don't I just don't buy it, I don't cry about it on the interwebz.
This store is grossly over priced. Avoid this place like the plague. They charge 50% MORE than ebay prices, yet they wonder why their games don't sell. Complete rip off.
we have nothing remotely like that where i live, a gametraders where they overprice things majorly, a few ebgames and a few GAME's, i recently got a job at cash converters so its cool to see some retro games occasionaly come in that i can get but nothing on a scale compared to this :3
God the guys here were so rude and when you asked they question they gave you a bs fuck off kind of answer. Go to the rhode island mall one. If the young dude is there he will help you out.
Cool video dude. I was there as well, I saw you filming. At 20 seconds I'm in the white shirt walking. Do you know if they're keeping the one in RI Mall open?
I got the Same kinda thing going on where I live , I got 4 stores like those They are called Vintage Stock , Sell all the Same stuff in your vid, ....how were the prices there?
Great video, Craig! Did you buy anything? I don't think I'd be able to restrain myself from doing so. Also, is that guy at 0:40 the same guy from the first Toy Vault video but with a haircut?
Whooooa, 11.99 for Ghostbusters? 24.99 for castlevania 2?? Nevermind, im probably not going there anytime soon for now D: honestly you can get those games for pocket change.
@thenintendogamer Yeah, stores like this are pretty expensive. There was a store like this in my area but went out of business because the prices were so high. They wanted 150 dollars for a old NES system.
@TheCodedArm If your store was selling an NES for $150, I wouldn't rush to make comparisons between the two. There's nothing like that here. Your store went out of business, while The Toy Vault opening new locations all the time. That alone should be indicative enough that your assessment is rather off base.
@tvandlust That alone doesn't show anything other then that some people are willing to buy from him and that he most likely sells new items. What are their prices for older systems and games, your video didn't show much in the way of price tags for games. But that Voltron toy sure was expensive. His website doesn't offer much of anything.
@TheCodedArm Depends on the games and systems. I think the prices are reasonable. Sometimes there are prices I won't pay, sometimes there are excellent deals; mostly it's just eBay-ish prices. It's just that people are so quick to boo hoo paying a couple extra dollars on Ghostbusters, but don't pay attention to my other videos when I say I got my 3DO FZ-1 with games there for $40, or that I got Guardian Heroes for $7 when it normally goes for $50-$100. Like any store, you buy what's good.
@famicomdork They carry a lot of retro games (I got my 3DO, Master System, Atari 2600, and too many games to count there). They do also carry general retro stuff, too.
cam moved a lil too fast to see what was going on. Are you gonna have another version with a bit more detail? ...anyway, I am super jealous, looks like an awesome store.
@flynnz For this one? Probably not. It was more meant to show off the new store and give a general idea of the wares. The speed was meant to convey excitement. I'm sorry if I didn't accomplish that. If you want to see something a bit more detailed, check out my video for another Toy Vault store. The link is in the video description. That one goes a bit more in depth.
@tvandlust Well this video came out awesome and it DEFINITELY conveyed excitement. So much so that I wanted to see more haha. I will check your other video out of the store for sure. Thanks man
@tvandlust You acomplish just that, lucky for me, if i wanted to check something in detail, i just pause the video, nice snes videogames, and all those old school stuff rock as hell.
Incredible. We don't have anything close to that scope here in Finland. I'd say the closest to that atmosphere is a videogame/miniatures store chain that has one branch that the shopkeeper wheeled in all his old Star Wars toys.
