they should bring back the wwe juniorheavy championship. dynamite kid was the best even before he had to take steriods to make money because wrestlers had to be big for vince.dynamites leg went paralyzed because the steriods he took deterioated his bones and ligaments and nothing was left.it sucks that dynamites career ended so short because he had to make himself get bigger to keep a job when he was so talented

@jackbox1971 Not for nothing, but youtube is a site where people go to not pay for anything. Not music, not movies, nothing. It's difficult to get anyone to buy anything these days. So royalties are out of the question. I've bought PURE DYNAMITE and it's an interesting read. If you really want to give Tom Billington royalties, go buy 100 copies of his book and pass them out to people on the street. Everybody wins.

Ive just watched another video on wrestling deaths and as the heartbreak kid was a partner of the now deceased davey boy smith (AKA, the British Bulldogs in the late 80's), he was shown as he is now today, a disabled 45 year old man who's life is ruined due to being in this business. Very sad indeed. And of course, vince Mcman takes no responsibility of any wrestlers deaths! Ruthless bastard Vince is!

@saxondale316 I miss Dean Malenko.. his promos sucked but he shouldn't have been doing them anyway.. he was over in WCW just putting on wrestling clinics against the likes of Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, Eddie Guerrero and Benoit. They tried to make him have a personality and that's not what Malenko was about.. he was supposed to be the Iceman.. he didn't talk, he just got in the ring and won matches.

I guess it's not a matter of "benoit better than eddie, eddie better than malenko, malenko better than...": those guys are all part of HISTORY of wrestling, and TM&DK are two of the greatest of all time.
keep in mind....these matches ouccured in the early 80s! A time when wrestling was still slow and more hold based. These matches still hold up to today standards. Amazing when you think about it.
@BeingASmartMarkSucks Not really, Fujinami, Keirn, Kimura, and even other Juniors were wrestling this style before Dynamite Kid and Tiger Mask even got to New Japan. They also were wrestling the fast paced junior style better than these two. These matches are vastly overrated, and the only reason people like it, is because it reminds them of a modern day Indy match. I've seen four of their matches (none of them were good IMO), and I hope to never see another one again.

@LukaDinamo just search; jushin 'thunder' liger vs... and see what comes up. he had great matches with great sasuke, hayabusa, el samurai, shinjiro ohtani, tiger mask 3, ulimo dragon and many others. a personal favourite of mine is shinjiro ohtani, he was voted best technical wrestler one year, very good technician.
Why the fuck is Jeff Hardy considered a lightweight? He's fucking 6'1 and easily over 200 pounds. He did some acrobatic moves, but not to like a junior heavyweight/cruiserweight. If you're going to consider Jeff, you have to consider Shawn Michaels too - and Shawn's easily the better.
First, amazing editing. Second, beautiful, flawless wrestling. Third, this song is one of the most played, commercially successful songs in the history of rock/pop music - how some of you managed to not know it is almost as incredible as the wresting here.

I remember watching the final match on The Wrestling Channel a few years back, this match was unbelievable and made me want to look up Japanese wrestling even more as I already knew who Dynamte Kid was.
These two make John Cena, HHH, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Edge and Rey Mysterio look like dog crap in the ring.
As amazing as this is don't you think it makes wrestling look too choreographed. I mean if you watch a guy like Bret Hart who can make wrestling look real - these two are incredible athletes (perhaps geniuses) but everything looks too constructed.
Then again I haven't seen their actual matches so I might be being a bit harsh. Still jaw dropping athleticism however.
@grtas1 the great thing about dynamite and tiger was that none of their shit looked choreographed. tiger would go for a move and dynamite would counter it and dynamite would go for a move and tiger would counter it, but to me it never looked choreographed, it just looked like two great technicians going at it. but i guess only tiger and dynamite know for sure.

@HoseaThaGreat Dynamite Kid and Tiger Mask actually wrestled on a WWF card in the early 80s at Madison Square Garden. My guess is McMahon probably wanted to sign Dynamite and Tiger Mask at the time (or one or the other) but due to their obligations in Japan he couldn't. Then when Hogan came along there was no need for them. (though Dynamite was later signed obviously)
@fsfslehqi those are arm drag recoveries. Tiger Mask uses Martial Arts alot in his stuff and he's a Pioneer in MMA. Dynamite Kid uses a very european influenced pro-wrestling style, with great suplexes and stiff bumps when it comes to anything he does. For Pro Wrestling, this is a real looking of work as you can get without watching UWF-i

True, maybe it has more to do with the way they're used - Vince never used Dynamite to the fullest but, again, it probably had a lot to do with him being so far above the others in WWF at the time.
Another thing with these older matches, they didn't build the wrestlers into super-heroes so u could hav an exciting finish without a massive finishing move. At least TNA has worked this out now and we may see less tables, ladders and chairs and I'll tune into WWE again one day.
Dynamite and Misawa we're great. It reminds me of the wrestling I used to play at the arcades as a youngster in the early 90's n late 80's. Tombstone on the floor no doubt. These guys were perfect dance partners. Better than any duel ever. Benoit was slow Dynamite rip off and he should have paid Dynamite royalties for stealing his character. And Owen Hart was better than Davey Boy or Bret. But no one but Dynamite was Dynamite.

I remember watching the final match on The Wrestling Channel a few years back, this match was unbelievable and made me want to look up Japanese wrestling even more as I already knew who Dynamte Kid was.
These two make John Cena, HHH, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Edge and Rey Mysterio look like dog crap in the ring.

As amazing as this is don't you think it makes wrestling look too choreographed. I mean if you watch a guy like Bret Hart who can make wrestling look real - these two are incredible athletes (perhaps geniuses) but everything looks too constructed.
Then again I haven't seen their actual matches so I might be being a bit harsh. Still jaw dropping athleticism however.

@grtas1 the great thing about dynamite and tiger was that none of their shit looked choreographed. tiger would go for a move and dynamite would counter it and dynamite would go for a move and tiger would counter it, but to me it never looked choreographed, it just looked like two great technicians going at it. but i guess only tiger and dynamite know for sure.

@HoseaThaGreat Dynamite Kid and Tiger Mask actually wrestled on a WWF card in the early 80s at Madison Square Garden. My guess is McMahon probably wanted to sign Dynamite and Tiger Mask at the time (or one or the other) but due to their obligations in Japan he couldn't. Then when Hogan came along there was no need for them. (though Dynamite was later signed obviously)

@fsfslehqi those are arm drag recoveries. Tiger Mask uses Martial Arts alot in his stuff and he's a Pioneer in MMA. Dynamite Kid uses a very european influenced pro-wrestling style, with great suplexes and stiff bumps when it comes to anything he does. For Pro Wrestling, this is a real looking of work as you can get without watching UWF-i

can't argue with you, I will admit "Pro Wrestling" is an acquired taste but Puroresu is much, much easier to stomach. Have you watched UWF-i? It's pretty cool to see what MMA is like predetermined, it's quite convincing.

True, maybe it has more to do with the way they're used - Vince never used Dynamite to the fullest but, again, it probably had a lot to do with him being so far above the others in WWF at the time.
Another thing with these older matches, they didn't build the wrestlers into super-heroes so u could hav an exciting finish without a massive finishing move. At least TNA has worked this out now and we may see less tables, ladders and chairs and I'll tune into WWE again one day.

Dynamite and Misawa we're great. It reminds me of the wrestling I used to play at the arcades as a youngster in the early 90's n late 80's. Tombstone on the floor no doubt. These guys were perfect dance partners. Better than any duel ever. Benoit was slow Dynamite rip off and he should have paid Dynamite royalties for stealing his character. And Owen Hart was better than Davey Boy or Bret. But no one but Dynamite was Dynamite.

The best ever, period. Awesome tribute. Also, comparing Bret / Davey Boy to Dynamite is blaspheme; link me to one clip of either of them doing anything remotely close to Dynamite in this video, or even working a good bump. You can't! Bret couldn't even work a decent match with Misawa.
