  • as cool as

  • Does that man have two heads

  • Was für eine hässliche Karre...

  • lol the seating arrangement makes them look like siamese twins

  • there is some knobheads on here, as someone already pointed out, even a brand like ferrari had to recall the 458 italia because they where bursting into flames, it doesnt mean that the car is then cancelled as a bad idea, the problem gets sorted...post release develpment

  • @novanerved Yep and you're one of them. People on here were having a grown up type discussion so if it's past your bedtime you should go to bed. If you can type without the silly name calling carry on.

I would call changing suspension settings or tyre compounds post release development. Being on fire isn't. That's just purely bad design or build or both which should never have made it to the road regardless if it's ferrari (i didn't know about the 458's when I posted) or kia.

  • if hotwheels made real cars

  • as cool as the idea of this car sounds I think most everyone would be far better off with the atom v8 that doesnt really have any problems because its engine is proven and so is its chassis. give me a atom v8 over this any day.

  • As far as I can make out, low-volume manufacturers, i.e. ones that only make about 5/10 cars a year, are exempt from crash testing etc. This is how these incredibly expensive machines like the T1 and the Tramontana get away with it.Also, Caparo have been pretty much on the ball to address the many issues that have cropped up during development of this amazing motor. Considering it doesnt need a huge pit crew to be driven on the road, this is one hell of a machine.

  • how many times did it break down during this test??

  • I'd love to know how this ever passed it's testing and got the ok to be road legal. Considering the fires and failures it has already had there are either some major design flaws or huge build quality issues. Either way it should never have been allowed on the road with the problems it has.

  • @hunghuge12 It passed the SVA inspection and is certified "street-legal for road use" Although you can drive it on the road, it doesn't mean it's safe. If you want safe, go ahead and buy a Dodge Caravan or something.

  • @greenhippo90 Don't be a mong. I'm not talking about the type of car. I wouldn't want to watch a vid of it if I didn't like them. I just can't see how a car with so many serious issues ever got the green light. If there are problems that cause fires that's got to be a fail on some part of sva. Either that or each one isn't built to the standard required to keep them flame free. There really is no excuse. Even top level race cars don't burst into flames as often.

  • @hunghuge12 I think Caparo did fix those 'issues' you mentioned. They even added hydraulics to give it 90mm of clearance for bumps. Plus, it's not like they built them in numbers, and only a handful has ever driven one, less even owned one. So it's too soon to speculate after two or three problems.

  • @hunghuge12 You never heard about the Ferrari 458? 10 spontaniously combusted in the first 3 months, Ferrari had to recall all of them. And the Caparo could run rings around one of them...

  • @RocketNothing Actually when I posted the comment I hadn't. I've since found out that the 458, gallardo and a few other cars are on fire quite a lot. I can't see how the hell the get through testing and safety inspections when this kind of thing can happen. I know there can be issues after sale but you would imagine these would be fairly limited to things like clutches grabbing or something. Being on fire is to me a bit unacceptable really - regardless who makes it or how low volume.

  • That thing started like a 30 year old beaten up volkswagen beetle. Despite that, it is the devil!

  • @Ktmzqw due to the huge tolerances race engines work at, such as heat, tend to be almost seized when not running, which is why they sound so clunky/rough on start up and idle till they get to operating temperature

  • @jcbferrari It's true. The more highly tuned an engine gets the more miserable it gets.

  • Are these in production yet?

  • Brilliant car!

  • absolute epic car!!! just briliant

  • That burnout was simply epic.

  • wonder if evo ran into any problems with it, awesome vid EVO
