This is because the harp seal population is the most abundant marine mammal in the world! Now do some research on other marine mammals hunted around the world! then take percentages of the population. + the # of that mammal being hunted ! you will see that the harp seal hunt is actually quite small in comparison.

Who are you to tell people what they can and can't do? There is nothing illegal about the Seal hunt and the only reason it has so much attention is because the aniamls are cute. Watson has said it himself. The cute animals bring in the donations.

Seal hunt takes place in Canada, it is illegal to buy seal pelt or seal products and also illegal to kill seal for commercial reasons in the U.S. So either you are not buying two seal pelts to piss of super eco heroes or you don't live in America. Hong-Kong China seal pelt trade market must be the closest one to your location.
