  • oh man! what the heck. This tut was rough. I finally managed to work it out but not the way this dude does it. shadow box tool draw it out. Hit morph UV double click on your reference image. adjust in spotlight turn it off turn it on again (using texture menu or shortcut SHIFT+Z) Polypaint (colorize should be on) click polypaint from texture. paint click morph UV Hope that helps some. Texture map in the tool menu new text
  • Very helpful...

  • I forgot : to start paint on schadow box you must turn off the texture on the box to see polypaint ( you can do it in the "texture map" menu on right side of interface). Two shortcut for Spotligth ( z and shift + z). Bottom line, this tutorial even more suck :)

  • @kordianlewandowski dont get me wrong but this is a shadowbox tutorial not a tutorial how to use spotlight...

  • Looks like every one has same problems. Wow to deal with professional guy it is so cool. Rock on, Party on with hate this tutorial. :(

  • i still prefer building my base mesh in maya. I love Zbrush, but for some things I like the direct control over my geometry

  • For me this was not working. I found that when I deleted UVs it made it work. Thats why his box doesnt have a grid on it.

  • @mikeb3869 Same problem. And draw line? Wow nice nothing explanation how this works. Cant do nice strait line

  • To paint a texture on a box you have to open the menu texture, turn off spotligth, then turn on again to see only the texture without pallets. Then paint the texture using a standard brush (rgb on, zadd off and zsub off). Then again Spotligth disable. Morph UV and go! The Professional, "simply click" guy on the tutorial probably used the shortcut shift + z, but ZBrush crashes errors some times so this is more secure way ;) I hate this tutorial but texture option is brilliant.

  • @kordianlewandowski I hate this tutorial too

  • Nice tutorial. I didn't get how did you swith to standard brush to paint reference image onto a planes?

  • thank you.. but I cant transfer the reference images on my shadowbox by re pressing morph Uv.. when I pressed morph, the box uv turned back to the box, but my images are still hanging there.. so frustrated ... //ripping..
