  • wrestling back then was awsome the characters were believable

  • damn those kicks looked and sound real

  • @brtshstel I GUESS THEY WERE STIFF AS HELL BACK THEN, THEY POUNDED EACH OTHER. NO JUMPING OFF THE TOP ROPE FOR THESE TWO, UNLESS THEY WERE GOING FOR THE PIN. BUT I THINK FRITZ WANTED TO BREAK YOU IN TWO.

  • This was when Fritz was still a heel, he still did the German goose step thing.

  • R.I.P giant baba That iron claw is amazing!

  • R.I.P giant baba

  • Many were bigger and more muscled than Fritz, but I'd put my money on him in a bar fight free for all any day. He was the last of the REAL men in wrestling.

  • UFC Fighters would get killed by Fritz... much less a WWE SUPERSTAR (Undertaker, in his prime, MIGHT give Fritz a run but wouldn't last past the forty minute mark.)

Gladiator: The Last of His Kind.

  • @kinglonblue Undertaker and Don Jardine aka the Spoiler (ironic since Jardine trained Taker) are the only guys I think could match Fritz in a fight or match. Gary Hart said Jardine was the only guy that he knew of that stood up to Fritz and thus, gained his respect for not backing down.

  • uuh Fritz was brutal.....like real german :-)

  • I don't think Fritz wrestled stiff enough.

    Holy shit!

  • fritz a true hall of famer.... giant baba should be in the hall of fame to.. two legends.....

  • 'looks stiff to me...

    great match though

wish wrestlers nowadays were this convincing

  • Now i remember why I watched this stuff as a kid. the wrestlers of that era like fritz, kiniski, brown, kowalski, valentine, gagne, thesz, hennig, et al. were some of the toughest mofo's on the planet. take any one from this era and put em into a stiff-fest with Fritz in his prime, and i guarantee you'll find chunks of them in his stool.

  • Fritz was a fucking monster in this match ! He ate Baba alive !

  • My god if his son Kerry wrestled the way he did, he would have been the WWF Champion in no time.

  • Whoa!!! Fritz was an absolute bear in his day because he was completely mauling Giant Baba in this match! I wouldn't have wanted to be one of his opponents because he seemed to want the match to look as real as possible!

  • There's no faking from Fritz. Have you seen the picture of opponents who were victims of his clawhold? So much blood

  • Man was Fritz stiffing Baba !

  • Fritz Von Erich...if he was alive & at his prime today, he would be scarier than New Jack in a no DQ match

  • Au Konaaaaa Cho-len-gaaaaaa Ni Hyaku Hachi-Ju Pondo, Fritz Von Ericaaaaa

  • Goddamn, Fritz was kicking the shit outta Baba!

  • I think Fritz was actually kicking the guy in the face. At least it appeared that way. He had to be fantastic at his game.

  • 鉄の爪 懐かしかったね

  • I saw Jack work with Brody back in the day. I wish i could have seen Killer Kowalski and Jack work together!

  • JAck was a very angry man in those days and worked very "stiff." I wish I could have been old enough to see Fritz Von Erich vs. Dick the Bruiser. Two very intense legends when they were young and in shape.

  • obviously pandering to the Japanese superstitions about the barbaric and beastly round-eyes

  • people always talk about the claw being weak.well my you have someone put it on you.I know you'd be screaming for ya momma like a lil bitch.you talk about the Von Erichs and you go on my shit list.

  • did anybody see fritz von erich giving giant baba the finger

  • At 01.23!!!

  • Those early kicks from Fritz look pretty brutal. Of course, the so-called "claw" is one of the least convincing submission holds in PW. Nonetheless, good drama throughout.

  • yeah, perhaps. But having a naturally big strong guy like von erich crunch your face can't be exactly pleasant.

  • <<Of course, the so-called "claw" is one of the least convincing submission holds in PW.>>

I don't know. Baron Von Raschke had some incredibly strong hands.

  • It's not so much about strength. Try griping a wet bowling ball with one hand ("claw" fashion). Strong or not, your hand will slip off. Same with a wet (sweaty head).

I'm not saying it isn't dramatic, I'm just saying it's less convincing than his kicks.

  • Yeah you got a valid point there, friend.

  • Fritz was as good a heel as you'll ever see.

  • He really meant business in the ring and his sons learnt a whole lot from him!!!
