Unfortunatley for me, i didn't get to see the live. i was travelling India when dime was murdered. i made a memorial day for him and i played Pantera for a whole week. in the face of all of the tree huggers that can't stand metal. for me dime is the greatest metal guitarist ever. sure, there are faster player that went to fancy schools and know everything that there is to know theoretically (myself, for instance), but nobody played metal like dime.
I will be eternally grateful that I got to see them about 10 times when I was a kid. Dime was simply the best metal guitarist of my era, hands down. Got my ass kicked so many times in the Pit to these guys. Pure and utter adrenaline and chaos when Pantera was onstage. RIP Dime, they won't make another like you man.

That is why they are called "Side Projects" and not PANTERA.. PANTERA stayed True to what they stood for.. Phil did not put out a non metal album and try to pass it off as Pantera, as Metallica did.. In the day of this video, there was about 40°, in early afternoon, and everybody there were waiting for Megadeth, B. I grew up listening to his music... heaven and hell, mob rules, holy diver, last in line, etc... one of the best IMO... but Phil also made his mark on Metal, a very huge mark at that! If you don't think the boy can sing, listen to the cowboys from hell lp which truly display's his vocal range. As far as the bad boy scream... phil coined the style with later pantera lp's. Llisten to DOWN, his new band and tell me he can't sing!

That is why they are called "Side Projects" and not PANTERA.. PANTERA stayed True to what they stood for.. Phil did not put out a non metal album and try to pass it off as Pantera, as Metallica did.. Phil even said had Metallica changed their name on making those albums, that he would respect that.. But using there name to push non metal albums is what his gripe was all about..
