Yes, and the best in my opinion. Unlike the 1987 & 1988 teams, this one had teams from different territories including the Pacific Northwest, Florida, Central States, and even All Japan & the UWF. 2 teams that I would have like to have seen in the tournament were The Freebirds (who were at that time in WCCW, which had just broken away from the NWA) and The Blade Runners, who were in the UWF (but greener than grass)
