There are stories that are true and stories that are just that, stories. For example there is scientific evidence to back up Jesus' existence but when you study theology in the orthodox churches, you learn that the story of Jonah is actually a story. Evolution is taught as fact because it is fact. Actually, it's facts.
Secondly, evolution doesn't say "something comes from nothing". That's the big bang theory which sort of says "something from nothing" but that nothing was quantum fluctuations, which has been observed.
Thirdly, EVERYTHING is a transitional fossil.
Forth, dinosaurs to birds took MILLIONS of years, not thousands.
Fifth, there's no such thing as a missing link, see point 3.

If the universe is so complex that it had to be designed, it only follows that a creator of such a thing would indeed be much more complex and would also require a designer. You can't have it both ways.

scientists test their theories, fanatics hold their theories unquestionable facts. this is why i tend to listen to scientists over religious fanatics like this man. its funny cause when ask to give evidence or explain his ideas he often just moves onto a different example or backs his idea up with the bible, which in reality is likened to the idea that you could prove that spiderman exists for it is written in the comics
