Haha. My ex used to sing this song to me...I only ever really paid attention to the nice parts of the song back then. Now that I'm listening to it with a few years of distance between us I'm realizing maybe he was trying to warn me! (or point out the obvious...)

usually i don't comment on videos of people playing covers, but this one struck me because i feel like you're so close to making this really good. i think you're just trying too hard with your vocals. listen to the way randy newman delivers every line in the original and think about the lyrics, how the writer is supposed to be drunk and singing to his lady.

I love this song at the end of the movie Paulie. I like that the director gave the song chorus a different meaning. This was great! Not to mention, I kind of get tired of Randy Newman's not-so-amazing voice. This gives my ears a soothing break! Very relaxing.
