  • The reason for the short consist is that te LSL 448/449 is now a Stub Train only to Albany/Rensselaer, thus requiring everyone in this Boston LSL to do a cross-platfor transfer (similar to many New Haven-Springfield trains) to continue on their journey to Chicago. As for the speed, it seems that fast, but I think the fastest allowed on the 199-mile B & A line is 59mph.
