It is very hard to sit down and watch old video clips of my own mom and dad now that they are gone. I am sure she is the same way, and it had been a long time since she had seen them. I just saw 'Dolly Parton' in concert last night - WOW! What an amazing Entertainer! I have always Loved her, but to see her in person, was such an honor and a 'Blessing'... She has it all - The voice, body, looks, beautiful clothes and such a lovely spirit! I was mostly impressed by her amazing wit and terrific personality, coupled with the most extraordinay sense of humor - What a riot! It was like a 2 for 1 - Music & Comedy! @SuperTiaBaby Yes ! We went to see her several years ago in L.A. at a Country Radio Station where she was being interviewed. At the break, my friend spilled coffee on herself, and Dolly told her "Don't worry about it, you're not on T.V. or anything." Real sweet. As she was talking to her, I was just a foot away and looked her over and I tell you she was perfect. Like a tiny doll, and flawless face. When the interview ended, the DJ was rude and just cut to something else, and she got pissed...

She went into the hallway where there was a table for her to sit at, and we were the first ones to meet her, and that's when my Mum knelt down at her side, and Dolly held her hands and started to sing to her. She said she thought my Mum was a movie star. And then when Dolly got a look at the long line of people, she...

@SuperTiaBaby I guess it was just a rumor. Looking it up, I see that she does say that they have an "open" marriage; so that either one of them is free to cheat, and neither wants to/needs to know. I'll look for the pic of my Mum with Dolly and send it to you some time. My Mum's smile would look better, but she's literally grinning from ear to ear ! LOL

@SuperTiaBaby ....she said "Hey wait a minute ! I gotta get oughta here, I got to take my niece shopping !" But still, she stayed and signed everyone's CD. She's really a powerhouse. She said she gets up really early every day, and will call up her best friend and invite her over for chicken and dumplings that Dolly will make at 3 or 4am. She never saw a lot of her husband, and now I heard that they got divorced. Dollywood is very successful, and she gives all her relatives jobs and schooling.

Dolly has more personality and is a true singer, not "engineered" in the studio !).
