  • fucking great movie! I highly recommend you see this in high-def. Its just too beautiful to see in a shitty low resolution video.

  • Dang a lot of hate going around...all I gotta say is THANK YOU USA for the light bulb, computer, youtube which i´m commenting now, facebook, jeans, sunglasses, t-shirts, and a host of other modern day tools that made the whole world better. You may not be the nicest or kindest and times, but you sure aren´t the worst.

  • @NicholasGRoberts wow, sir, you are so stupid. Lets see what muslims have given to the world then, should we? They gave you the numbers, yes 1,2,3....so on. They gave you cure for half the diseases in the world, (omer al khayam) till to date use the same tools. They gave you the concept of hospitals. The gave you algorithms, without agorithms there would be no computers. Alchemist, Algebra (E=mc2)Camera in arabic known as KAMARA. Eirst man to fly. Now defend your argument?

  • @Frankenstien9321 defend my argument.I'm wasting my oxygen right now on this....i' ashamed of myself...stupid in what way? And where did I deny the inventions of other nations, cultures and peoples in my statement. I'll just tell you the answer so I don't have to hear from a guy who calls himself Frankenstien which is definitely not Arabic but English..that's beyond the point. Go spew your hate somewhere else

  • @NicholasGRoberts I am not arabic, beside even if i was, would you understand a word i write, i bet not. I know you don't deny inventions by other nations, but the way you say that we gave you this and that, is very patronizing to me. My point: how can you defend the atrocities of war in the clip by saying we gave you youtube etc etc? It riles me up. To you lives of people don't matter but invention of jeans and denim does? P.S. i haven't spewed any racism, swearing, hate here!

  • America has no money to give we r already in a lot of debt tht we r struggling to payback and we just went through a recession. how can we be selfish and refuse to give money when we have none to spend

  • Why are the dumbest comments under "Top Comments"? It's painful how stupid and uneducated people are when it comes to politics.

  • @mattmurray07 I fear that there are more stupid and ignorant people in the world these days then intelligent.

  • I'm not sure the US has Iraq as "wrapped up" as military is trying to force feed us. After the very last military troops/advisors leave Iraq,by Dec. 2011, isn't it? propped up US government will fall, and Iraq and its politics will be more radicalized than before US ousted Saddam, I'd wager.

As an aside,I don't understand why Islamic men condemn use of alcohol, the West and our decadence, but when they arrive in US, many have no problems indulging in that decadence.

  • watch it free - #OMG Go Movie World . com #FTW

  • This film maker wouldn't have had access if Saddam was still alive. He would be dead if he tried to make a movie critical of Saddam Hussein...But I suppose this fuckwad film maker imagined life was paradise under Saddam's brutal reign.

  • I desperately want to see this documentary. Also, the high school debate resolution for next school year is reducing military presence in one or more of the following countries: Kuwait, Turkey, South Korea, Japan, Afghanistan, and Iraq. It will be interesting.

  • @overthefoothills if you want to see it you can at stagevu.com and remember God is love and fair Many of these poor kids and people didnt have the thruth preached in their lives but were righteous i belive they will be saved God only judges according to how much we know with more knowldge comes more responsibilty God has a plan God bless!

  • wow!!!

  • Wow! This was filmed using DVX 100? Was a 35mm lens adapter used? Great images!!!!

  • Great cinematography using DVX100. Impressive.

  • I wish i knew more about the muslim faith, i think everyone should look into it themselves and not generalize it as some terrible woman hating culture which celebrates and encourages terrorism. Its unfair and unfortunate that so many people assume this based on 911. They were extremists and had a profound hatrage for americans, who happened to be muslim. Open your fucking mind america.

  • i wish to know more about it too, although i don't believe in a god. i want to know what other people believe in.

as for americans, they will not open their minds. but they will loose their power, which is going to make them inconsequent in their stupid values and rethoric. all empires cease

  • Well, not all Americans are that way. I guess just the ones that are not willing to accept any other way of thinking or relgion but their own, who will believe any garbage that is put in front of them. Unfortuantley there happen to be too many people like this.Thats why nothing gets done in this country and most americans are not even allowed basic civil liberties.

  • are which way? man, your presidents say at the end of each speech "god bless america". that would be a big fuss here, in portugal. you have presidents that forge elections and get away with it. he than makes a war because of oil interests and takes a dictator and now there's 100 dictators wanting to take is place. you americans had 1000 reasons for insurrections, for public demonstrations that would make him leave office, but nothing was done... (continues)

  • you whine about 9/11 as a catastrophy, but usa has been involved in almost every war in the last 50 years. you destroyed and killed millions over the years, but you whine about a couple of your'se lost. i got be honest with you. after that 9/11 day, i saw in the news broadcast people comemorate the attacks, i think in palestine. and i understood better their happyness their reaction than yourse. you have been killing all over and were untouchable and untouched untill then.

  • i agree but im sure as hell not one of "these" americans who honestly believe this is right/just cause. More than half of americans HATED bush, and you cant just push someone out of office when they have all the power(enough power to cheat in an election and get away with it and IRAQ) AND they have the most currupt individuals surrounding them (cheney).

  • While it was horrible to watch, when I saw the planes hit I was not shocked at all. I did feel a little sad but to be honest it's hard to sympathinse when the peolpe working in the towers have been completely indifferent to the deaths of millions around the world as a result of poverty.

America is too isolated, too xenophobic, too narcissistic and WAY too hypocritical to sympathinse with.

  • @tgalk Your ignorance is appalling. Killing innocent people, people who aren't responsible for the atrocities you attribute to them, does nothing to satisfy justice. Until you have the integrity to condemn all forms of injustice, your opinion is worthless.

  • @tgalk I've never read a more disgusting opinion. You think innocent civilians you've never met are responsible for the actions of a government? You're no better than a suicide bomber you fucking prick.

  • @tgalk

You honestly believe that Americans don't have the right to be mortified and angry about 9/11? I understand that their patriotism is annoying at times, but as human beings, they are allowed to grieve the loss of innocent lives. I get the impression that your view of the USA is very flawed. Keep in mind that the American government doesn't necessarily speak for the people. Why does everyone make war a personal matter when it's politicians that choose to go to war. Ridiculous.

  • @mattmurray07 I'm an American and I was borderline taking offense to what he/she wrote but I think the point that they were trying to make was, in terms of identifying with emotions, when you look at it from those who have been bombarded and murdered by the US government, the rejoice isn't farfetched. 9/11 is deep for me as it is for any American but the fact remains we are all humans and American lives aren't worth any more than others. We're so fortunate to be here in a free country.

  • @tgalk and you people wonder why you get no press, no sympathy, no help. Hate on Hate doesnt accomplish anything. Look at the 2005 Kashmir Earthquake in pakistan. 80 thousand dead the 17th deadliest earthquake in recorded history. Nothing happen, a black out on the news for western nations.

  • @tgalk White man's gonna rule the world. (and no this is not a racist comment)

  • @tgalk well, i guess if thats how you want to look at it, you can also look at it as those attacks forced us to kill a whole lot more people, and we're going to have to go one killing because of them, i dont know where your from, but you have a simple idealistic view of how the world works, its almost naive

  • @tgalk Almost every country has been involved in a war some way directly or indirectly in the past 50 years. People are quick to blame the United states for all the problems in the world. But even without western involvement in the middle east it still would be shit hole that it is today. Everyone loves to bitch but no one wants to set up for a solution.

  • Now he has to do a second-part after we finally get out of there in 2-3 years-- to make sure the world can see the destruction we've caused for "Freedom". I have a feeling that when the war is over, the American government/media will try to white-wash over all of that and we need a document proving the opposite, so perhaps we can better deter any similar wars.

  • anyone saying iraq should be divided...ever come to think where would the cities of baghdad, mosul, basra and karkuk go too?

am iraqi..and i dont want to see 3 diffrent iraqs.

  • hey... i'm from portugal, europe. the portuguese seriously condemned the war all through the process. i feel frustrated that i can't do more than protest on the streets, in conversations, in the net. i'm strongly opposed to the american imperialism and it's propaganda, it's logic and imoral values. i would like to be more active in helping peace come to iraq. do you know of anyway i can do that?

  • if you find a way please let me know also...

  • anybody knows the song in (01:20-01:45)????!!!

  • i actually think it was a passage from the koran, or some kind of relgious chant? Not too sure, but when i watched the film, thats what i took away from it. i think its beautiful though.

  • Beautiful and sad. :(

  • Iraq should be divided up anyway. The political state of Iraq is an artificial British creation which named the country after mount Uruk. Iraq encompassed nations that were joined together by force. The Kurds were forced to be annexed into what is now Iraq and they have the right to separate. And after the separation, they should be compensated for all the sorrows and the oil that was stolen from them.

  • iraq was one country 7000 years ago. iraq will always be one country and if not it will be united with all arab countries not divided by american occupiers.

long live to the free iraq!

  • to Ainethil

good luck in facing turkey alone....

  • what's the theme?

  • YOU LOST!! HAHAHA!!

  • Thanks for workings towards helping erase that hateful image people in the world have of americans. Good job. Now back to the trailer for you

  • Ummmm, I am supposed to give damn what the rest of world thinks? LOL! It means absolutely nothing to me what the world thinks of the USA. Absolutely nothing.

  • Did you care back in 9/11?

  • it should mean something. i'm european and i don't think you should care why i think badly of you or not, but the reasons why you should consider. the reasons why are of much importance to you if you consider them to be true. going into a war because of oil is one of them. and i could say much more reasons, but i think that one is enough

  • It's funny to see all the anti-usa bush haters cry like little babies. I have to say it is quite fulfiling on many levels. Here, watch me rub it in a little bit more -- rubbing salt in their wounds, kicking em while theyre down, adding insult to injury...here goes...

  • Anti-Bush? There's no anti bush. There would have to be someone pro Bush for that to happen. And while youre at it, go rubbed in to the families of all those young man whose lives Bush traded for Oil and Money

  • And where's the "Oil"? You mean, this gas being imported to Iraq?

And yeah, Iraq should be divided. As peacufully as it's only possible. One alternative is some kind of the "final solution to the problem" of the Sunni minority, and I guess no one besides the growing ranks of the pissed off Shiites would like to see this.

  • no, the fossil combustible Iraq exported to the world before being schred to pieces

  • I love the way people say 'how Iraq swapped' or 'how Iraq did this' like the Iraqi's had any choice in anything that occured.

If a government is in power and you invade that country to overthrow it using a military force to protect your own foreign interests then how can that possibly be anything less than imperialist oppression?

  • saw this hole thing brilliant, it shows how Iraq swapped one occupier for another,.. i think the u.s has enough oil so its time 2 go home.why dosent the u.s government get rid of Robert mugabe, oh thats right ... theres not enough money in that.

  • Thanks for the WAR George Asshole Bush !

  • @StewedTomato It's not all Bush's fault. Just saying. One person cannot declare a war on one country. Learn your facts please.

  • @GamerGaba Ya, I guess U r right it's the fault of all of those who gave such power, money, support to this warmonger...if U r SUPPORTING Bush & the administration U r also responsible.

  • @Alifpolestar Damn right I am :) And I am proud of it you malignant fuck. No matter what our Country does I am beside her. She blessed me with freedom and I will fight till the end of my life for it. And also, After the war-powers act it is impossible for just the President to declare war. So that means that congress needs to approve as well. So all of those representatives you voted for. They voted yes on war :) Aww, looks like you fucked up :)

  • @StewedTomato hey say what u willMan,imIraqi and if u watched this documentary im kurdish, one of the many races effected by the killing of saddam hussein b.c of the war, i feel as though the war did have a good outcome and it was the killing of saddam, he was a dictator not unlike stalin and hitler and hudrens of thousands if not millions of innocent people died at his hands, i dont like george bush but he wasnt the won that called the shots regardless, even if saddams death wasnt the intention

  • omg this film is one of the best films ever....the cinematography is awesome

  • This film was nominated for an Oscar and already won numerous awards for its candidness and true reality.

  • one of the most amazing movies I have ever seen...and I'm picky

    Brilliant!

  • this movie will definitly change the point of view of many people of the life that people in iraq are living and how blessed we are to be living a life like this in america

  • anybody knows the song in (01:20-01:45)????

  • It's a boy doing it in a mosque, not a itunes sort of recording, if that's what you were asking. If you were asking what the tune is, then sorry, I don't know.

  • Hmmm interesting.....

  • One of the best films I've ever seen. Sublime. And in response to other comments- the filmmaker was alone for two years and is reponsible for the entire process. There was no film crew, allowing Longley to have that intimate access.

  • nice job will defenatly see this

  • Beautiful film. Highly recommended.

  • It looks a bit staged in places plus the fact that i have seen about 70 of these type of documentary 2 years ago which in my opinion are more comprehensive, so nothing really new here.

  • IT still looks good, and ill watch it. also, of course some parts are staged... like the violent part with the man getting beaten up; would a camera crew actually film within proximity of the actual incident where they too would risk getting assaulted??? Use your head.

  • None of this film was faked. The filmmaker spent long hours getting access to the situations in which this film was made.

  • They didn't have a camera crew, it was all filmed by the director (one single person). he spent 2 1/2 years in Iraq filming this.

  • @tmad57 this is a documentary; how about you use your head, documentaries aren't staged.........

  • Very good movie, saw it and was worth the trip. Shows three sides and allows you to decide your own feelings I suggest watching it. Inspirational to a young aspiring video journalist.

  • Yeah, wanna watch this.

  • looks so amazing!!

  • Looks really great.
