@rmgabi What?? U do have a world map don't you? Turkey is an unique country between Europe and Asian continents. And also have lands in both in Europe and Asia. I don't know where r u from my friend but please don't challenge with me about this. But, about your accusation for diminishing differences between Turkey and Iran i can say one thing: With this government you are right! But after 8 years of this government people are not happy with them. And after 9 days we have an election....
@Nexaes trust me, as a teacher that sometimes teach geography, i know where turkey is. i was more referring to the fact that it is a muslim country, which does make it an arab country. i do know turkey used to be european country, tho erduan/ahmadinijad (don't really see the difference between those 2) took it 60 years back.
@rmgabi As a teacher...sorry for saying that but you have many things to learn. For example To make it an arab country being muslim is not an option. Do you know Indonesia? Do you know where is it? Indonesia is a pure Asian country and also a muslim country. Yes there is also budists there, like there is many christians and other religions in Turkey. Again sorry for saying that but the children whom you teach geography have to take the same lesson from a capable, not prejudiced teacher...
@Nexaes Turkish people have a problem related with it because these kind of shows portrait Turkey as a mix between India, Arabia and Tunisia. In fact it isn't. We all watched shows like Muppet Show, Looney Tunes, etc... but America had a prejudice on Turkey and stereotyped the people according to their imaginations. It is like picturing Japanese people as a mix between Russian and Chinese. Or picturing French people as a mix between German and Italian. etc...
