  • @valencia317 I would say that Darryl Thompson did all the (known) rock licks and Eef did the much more inspired jazzy parts

  • Great insight Valencia317...Thanks!!

As far as the record companys insight on what GREAT music really is???

Well, some things will apparently never change....

  • Valencia317 here again. Additionally, when the group presented themselves (and the new music) to Columbia Records, the company didn't know what to do with them - which unfortunately spelled the demise of this ambitious project. Columbia had signed them based on their "fusion" track record, and really had no inkling about this new direction they wanted to move in; which was more "rock", and less fusion. It was a sad state of affairs "timing-wise", as almost no one got to see or hear them.

  • Thanks so much for putting this up. I have this record too. I was also fortunate enough to be at some of the recording sessions, as well as seeing them rehearse in preparation for presenting the group to Columbia Records at the time. They were truly an incredible group of musicians and singers. The recording itself is only about "half as hot" as they were live. Daryl Thompson did most of the lead guitar on the more "rock" tracks, and Eef Albers did the leads on Mr. C.T.

  • sounds like humble pie vocals...steve marriot???

  • Kick ass song ! There is so much music from this era that just blows away what passes for "good" these days and this is just more proof of that.

  • I LOVE THIS ALBUM!! I remember my friend James Batton(Who played keyboards & sang on the album)bringing the rough mix of the tunes by my house before the album was released!! Sadly he passed in 1986!! Thank You For Posting!!!

  • 78? This one got by me...tight band

  • YEAH. This is an amazing album! Please post more tunes from this record.

    Thanks.
