  • I live in Phillips as well. And it's really cool to see video's like these from the old days. I'm always interested in seeing how they survived back in the day. Thank you for posting this

  • @nascarfever88 Do you have any present-day video of Phillips Area?...'aven't been back since '68. A bit B-4 "Jr." was born.

  • @zuzulo56 No acually I don't have any video's. I moved here in 1982 myself. Great city and I would never leave. Love it up here and I opened a home based camping supplies business up here. If I can come up with videos. I can for sure let you know

  • I'm from Phillips so this is pretty cool to see.

  • I know the 1930s were challenging, but I love the nostalgia of that era. Such things as this are great escapes from today's own turmoil. Thanks for posting.

  • Copper Falls is about 53 miles north of Phillips in northern Wisconsin. Copper Falls is near Mellen, WI. Both Mellen and Phillips are on Highway 13.

It is possible that the auto trip shown @2:19 is on Highway 13. At least the terrain looks right for that.

The footbridge crossing @2:43 is probably over the Bad River (which flows through the park) at the entrance to the park. The bridge has long since been replaced by a more stable structure.

  • Wonderful. I believe that is Copper Falls State Park near Mellen, WI, starting at 2:43.

  • @NachosII How many miles from PHILLIPS (Price County) would that be?
