yeah PC are better...not. considering you have to continuously update your PC to keep up with new game capabilities that come out every half year to a year. therefore, while you pay lets say $400 for a game system, you resultantly pay over $1000 for a comparable computer system that can play at the same graphics and frame rate as a system...to include on such a large screen that most people, im generalizing, tend to play on with systems vs a monitor.

@RazorShultzor Halo has better gameplay, campaign, theater, firefight, forge and multiplayer than almost any other game (those were the things that were critically acclaimed). No other FPS has THAT much in it. The reason why Halo's so successful is that it revolutionized shooters. Before halo 1, shooters had funky controls on consoles and had you wielding 8 weapons at once. Halo changed that and also kept the Xbox alive against the high sales of the PS2. Halo is the reason why Xbox still exists.

Not really, the specular lighting and bloom effects in Halo are really minimal compared to the other games that are out there. No game so far has succeeded in pushing the xbox to its limit, the only limit it has is the file size on disc.

Crytek investigated with their engine the Crytek 3 and determined the xbox 360 and PS3 are almost identical performance-wise.

Now no one is gonna disagree with an expert development studio like them, so I don't see how Halo "pushed the xbox to it's limit"

Well to be honest i dont think that Gears of War had really good graphics... I mean sure the pixels and shit were REALLY clear, but the people and stuff looked too cartoony. COD MW had better graphics, but in my opinion it's graphics only rivaled Halo 3's. (I dont even know why the fuck everyone is even arguing about this anyway: graphics do not make or break a game. Plus just try and take a peak online and see how many people are STILL playing it. In my opinion, THAT shows how good it is.

@RazorShultzor Well Halo DID indeed change the way shooters are made (besides, Halo is older than COD, so if anything COD was influenced by Halo). Halo gave good controls to console shooters (like using the triggers for firing, only carrying two weapons at a time, etc.; before Halo 1, shooters had very funky controls and gave you up to eight weapons at a time). Halo 2 revolutionized Xbox LIVE by introducing Matchmaking (and yes, Halo 2 literally did INVENT matchmaking as we know it today)

And Matchmaking is a pretty moot point because PC server selection will always be the most intuitive, user friendly and just generally best way for it to happen, in my opinion.

Maybe it's ok for consoles. And I like the way fun shooters let me have lots of weapons. Take Unreal Tournament for example. :D
