@brownfingerr SON, VTEC does go bad, google faulty cam phasers and galled camshafts on Honda K engines... Honda, since the 80s always had a problem with using cheap, soft metal in their cams. Also, drove VTEC cars all the time... they're just really really slow until the high cam then they accelerate normally.

the KLZE torue is about 4500rpm or so only about 1000 less than an H22

@MaddDogg81 You are right, but at what rpms? the klze has that torque at around 3000 rpms, honda engines are at high rpms. It wouldnt be a fair race tho as the klze has two extra cylinders but at the same time its heavier. Check out the h22 vz klze videos, there around 2 or 3 that show the difference.

@MrSliCkSLG I am sure you are not just h22 turbo. You have to have something done because so far the h22 turbos that i have raced here in el paso suck. The mx3 has no tunning whatsoever and has ebay parts. You have to be tunned and maybe some nice name brand parts. Also the 4000 feet elevation and 90 plus degree weather doesnt help us at all.

I have an mx3 and it is slow as shit, I can honestly say that (from what I have seen) mazda engines suck camel dick, unless it has a wankel under the hood. Mazda engines respond to boost better, but honda engines come off the line with an advantage. Looking at these cars, the mazda v6 can never hang with the likes of the honda v6. Am I right or wrong?

My whole set up didnt even cost over 2gs including the car. That comment was irrelevant. There are ships with 12 thousand hp, whats your point?

A stock klze vs a stock h22, think of it as price. swap for a mazda = 1000 dllrs, on an h22= expect to may at least 2gs and thats if the engine is stock. Of course, dump a lot of money into the klze and it can easily make 800 whp just like any other engine.
