But put a gun to my head and tell me to pick the single most hauntingly beautiful composition ever, and this would be it. The singers are crap. The beginning is too fast. Again, Rieu destroys everything. I can understand some like it, but it is not difficult to look up Caballé/Horne, or any other good rendition on Youtube to see what this should sound like.

Before you ask: Both sopranos are Brazilians. Carmen, the brunette is from Pará state in the extreme north of Brazil and Carla, the blonde, is from Rio Grande do Sul at the extreme south. Now you know that Brazil has anything more than samba. And thanks Scotty by the clip.

Before you ask: Both sopranos are Brazilians. Carmen, the brunette is from Pará state in the extreme north of Brazil and Carla, the blonde, is from Rio Grande do Sul at the extreme south. Now you know that Brazil has anything more than samba. And thanks Scotty by the clip.
