that's right.just because someone's mother isnt jewish and they weren't automatically born a jew doesn't mean they can't become Jewish. once you have converted, you are an official jew as much as any other jew. you can't tell her she isn't jewish...and in her case, her mother converted BEFORE she was born so that makes her mother jewish and then her child will be fully jewish. so she technically is a jew by birth. i hate people who challenge the legitimacy of someone's jewness.

Christians often forget that Jesus, who we consider to be our Lord and Saviour, was Jewish and that our religion was started by Jews, who were initially called Hebrew Christians. @sabrom You are right when you say I am the child of converts. My mom was actually born Catholic (and somewhere back in my lineage, my dad's family are all converts too.) Being a convert though doesn't make me any less Jewish than someone who can trace their family tree all the way back to Egypt. Remember, Abraham, the very first Jew of all was a convert, so how could it be wrong?

Also what do you have to say about Abraham? He was not born Jewish BUT surely you don't consider the founder of OUR religion a fraud.
