If N. T. Wright doesn't think that Justification imputes anything, or does anything to the person being justified, what does he mean when he says @ 8:00 "God puts human beings in the right against the day when He will put the world right?"
@MichaelJDonahue N. T. Wright doesn't think that Justification imputes anything, or does Anything to the person being justified, what does he mean when he says @ 8:00 "God puts human beings in the (justified/pardoned)right against the day when He will put the world right?" (righteous judgement)(possibly).
Lots of pretty words but demonstratively we see no fruit from this tree of Christ than the Buddhist tree, Hindu tree, or any other of the trees of faith teachings out there in the garden of humanity that truly show the tree of Christ and its fruit are some how better.
So Christians are the ones who have and are putting the world to right?! Where in the world in the past 2000 years of Christian history are we seeing in demonstrative manner the Body and Bride of Christ are putting the world to right???? If this is a manifestation of the truth of Christ then our eyes show us that Christ offered nothing demonstrably better than any thing else.
I genuinely praise God for Tom Wright. The first time I read Jesus & The Victory of God was a watershed moment for me that led to reading Fresh Perspectives, the commentary on Romans in NIB, Surprised by Hope etc. My understanding and preaching has benefited immeasurably from this man!
"He gave the...teachers" (Eph 4.11) and this is surely one of them, eh?
