  • I guess if they misunderstood him and crashed it would have been a bad thing, but that's pretty harmless.

  • if i had atc like that it would make my day, leave it to the non-aviation community to flip out and ruin the fun

  • Awww, that kid's so cute. Daddy time like that is something that kid will never forget. Bah humbug on the goofball naysayers.

  • in clip one...when he says ''move the damn airplane'' ..what airline is it?? its hard to understand

  • i damn near pissed myself when that kid came on if you dont think thats funny, just kill yourself. knowing me i would have dont that myself hahahahaha there was nothing wrong with a little humor when you got a stressful job. :)

  • so what mother fuckers he did it right!

  • This is what you call professional.....disgraceful Kennedy controllers think they are the the best thing since sliced bread........tossers!

  • guess the next thing is doctors are going to be allowed to have their kids cut people open

  • @QNH1013 He did NOT get fired, although he, and his supervisor, suffered extreme consequences. As usual, however, there was more involved in the outcome than incident covered by the outspoken, uneducated media.

  • Adios amigos!

  • The controller at JFK in clip one is always interesting to listen to. The more weather that rolls in the better it gets. :)

  • i agree with the people complaining, aviation can be very unpredictable, what is calm now could potentially be seconds from disasters later, i agree with involving kids into our work lives, as long as its away from the air trafic controllers, thank u very much..

  • That's a HUGE fine for allowing a kid on the radio. Sheeze!

  • Loved the kid on the mic. "Wish I could take my kid to work" Classic

  • Didn't the ATC guy got fired for pulling this stunt ? He so deserve what's coming for him. So unprofessional. There's a time to play & a time to get serious, surely a tower job is not a place to be joking around.

  • @QNH1013 but just telling people to contact departure isn't a big deal. It's not like the kid was controlling the skies or anything

  • Wow, they talk so fast I can't catch what they're saying LOL

  • I smiled and laughed like crazy cuz I thought it was just adorable that a kid was directing planes around. I dunno why I was surprised when I scrolled down and read comments about him being suspended and then seeing many of comments supporting that ridiculous decision... the guy is being a great dad, a great person and he's RIGHT THERE to take care of any potential things that can go wrong, which isn't very likely since he's telling his kid what to say and he's listening in to every exchange!smh

  • Great video thanx friend.

  • at least the kid sounded like he enjoyed doing his job, unlike many controllers I've talked to out there.

  • Thanks everyone for your awesome comments on this video. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • That last one was pretty cool!

  • Lucky kid

  • Everyone freaked by the boy and his dad: how exactly do you think we train air traffic controllers? Give 'em a copy of "Pushin' Tin" and a copy of the rules (gov order 7110.65 searchable online for those ready for a FAB read...) let 'em study and send 'em on their way??? UMM, NOOO. NATCA Forever, my brothers and sisters!

  • Kid:I hit a baseball today. The kid at #3:Oh really, well that's awesome and all but i just directed air traffic on a runways without a single mistake.Buy you know hitting a ball is like REALLY cool for you guys.

  • He wasn't saying anything his dad wasn't telling him too. I'm sure he was on a piggy backed mic and dad could've stepped right in if need be.

This isn't like the kid in Russia who flew a pax plane into the ground or anything. He was simply REPEATING what he was told. When I was a kid I used to go up into the cab of the local tower and the ATC's would let me watch and listen to them...

His firing is yet ANOTHER example of the decline of our civilization as a whole.

    Leave it to lawyers..

  • @reluctable

    Settle down Francis...

First of all...I have a "grip".

Second...Since there is no "end times", well until the universe collapses on itself again, I don't think it's the end of the world.

You clowns who criticize this guy are either trolls or posers...you probably have no REAL world interaction with ATC, or the aviation world in general...so you don't "get it" and never will.

Keep flying your MS Flight Sim and pretending some kid in this situation could cause an accident.

  • @reluctable

I fly for a living...I've got 12000+ hours in everything from an Ercoupe to "Heavies"...WE(you know, those of us at the "pointy end" laugh at the folly of this.

Did you listen to the pilots comments? I'd do the same thing. THERE WAS NO DANGER!!!

Don't preach to me about the FAA...I've FORGOTTEN more about FARs than you'll know..

Speak naught that which you OBVIOUSLY know nothing about.

Keep believing everything you hear on CNN/Faux...whatever.

Leave the flying to the pros.

  • @reluctable

    Don't go to Vegas...

I'm not here to get into a -issing match. Believe what you want...as wrong as that is...it's still your right.

  • @TakeDeadAim everyonesw a flying expert on youtube..

  • @TakeDeadAim you have a point. but if any instruction is misunderstood it could cost hundreds of lives. So the FAA has to maintain very strict rules

  • @TakeDeadAim I remember reading about that horrible incident in Russia...I think it was an A300 ?

  • It was all over the news when it happened.

  • "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for flying with us this morning. By the way, there's a 5-year-old in the tower who will be relaying instructions to us from the controller." Still cute or funny?

  • @mulgrum I think it was funny.

  • @mulgrum Telling someone to contact departure is not a big deal! And also, its not like the pilots would do something stupid even if they received incorrect instructions from ATC. When you fly enough, you know what to expect. After takeoff, under IFR, your just waiting for Tower to hand you off to departure. If you were to hear something contrary to what you think you should be doing, youd just clarify with ATC. And by that point the controller supervisor would just step in.

  • Finnair!

  • That Must of made the kids day....Great Dad.

  • Maybe my surgeon can bring his 8 year old son in to the O.R. and guide him through a little surgery. Can't hurt anything. After all, he's in a controlled environment and taking orders from a qualified surgeon!

  • @edro31111 are u fuckn stupid, here if the kid messes up, his father can easially fix it....during surgery how the fuck are u suppost to "undo" a mistake

  • @edro31111 Right, because the kid was driving the airplane. Instead of simply talking into the mic while his dad drove.

  • @edro31111 Im not sure if you are aware of this, but ATC do make mistakes over the radios from time to time. All it takes is a following message to correct it. Wouldnt have been any different if the kid said something wrong, so the dad jumped on and fixed it than if the dad made the mistake in the first place.

Comparing ATC to surgery is crazy.

  • That's a great Dad!

  • hehehehe, sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet :D

  • i love the last one

  • that kid is a BAWSE.

  • did not understand why that was funny

  • Oh wait... JFK? That wasn't him then. FALSE ALARM

    Sorry!

  • I wonder if that was even his dad.

  • He told me about this a while ago!!!!!

  • O my god!!! I know that kid! He's my best friend!

  • Its stupid. My uncle took me to work. I was an ATC for an hour and i was 13 years old. Now im 15. Lucky for mu uncle i have a deep voice, i guess.

  • I really don't understand why our world is geting boring and boring from stupid rusles and ridiculuous laws implemented? Common, this people have a very stressful job both pilots and ATC any short entertainment would be like a god send to them, there is nothing wrong that kid was giving instructions from his father, no emergency was detected and nobody complained, ridiculous how people get fired sometimes

  • @baha300 i certanly agree with you my friend..

  • @baha300 The guy never got fired, he got suspended.

  • @baha300 if they get distracted they could clear an airplane for take off on runway 13 while clearing another one to land on runway 31

  • @mariodela that would never happen, planes never take of and land whilst facing eachother

  • @baha300 I'm a pilot and it is literally written in my handbook that it says that you cant fuck around .. no jokes well maybe not written like that. but it means that u have to be serious all the time.. that atc should have known that he should have saw it coming but props to him

  • @baha300 Who hasn't a stressful job nowadays?? Probably only the unemployed.

  • What a shame the guy got fired. Its clear that the pilots heard clearly and understood what was being said, the JetBlue guys even seemed prepared to have a laugh. How sad and pathetic to fire the guy.

  • Sometimes everyone takes themselves a little too seriously, don't you think?

  • The thered one was cool but these guys have a serious job and right now these guy have also been falling asleep alot do idk if that was a good idea

  • ABC News: "The FAA, ... is investigating the controller, as well as a supervising controller. Both have been relieved of their duties: "This behavior is not acceptable and does not demonstrate the kind of professionalism expected from FAA employees." FAA said that it would also suspend "all unofficial visits to FAA air traffic control operational areas, such as towers and radar rooms," during the investigation.

  • @R361K ¡Adios amigo!

  • @R361K How do you know that?

  • @TrippandRun this was on the news! It was this whole big deal and he guy got fined then fired

  • @R361K Really???

  • @R361K Really, well I learned something. Thanks!

  • @R361K really...?????

  • @R361K Where does it say he got fired?

  • @R361K if true, totally worth it. who wants to have such jerks as bosses who won't allow this amazing kind of thing anyway.

  • @R361K U think?

  • @R361K link?

  • @R361K Are you serious???!?!?!?

  • Here's the news report on what happened to the guy in the last segment.

    wpix(dot)com/news/wpix-boy-jfk-air-traffic,0,6314529.story

  • I remember when Mexicana flew in the US

  • Haha it wasn't a small airport it was JFK

  • The kids not in the tower, He's flying the plane!

  • More than likely it was a small airport. Yes it was wrong to let the kid open the mic. However it was more than likely safe. It was possibly in cohots with the pilots that met the kid. Just a guess.

  • That kid had NO BUISNESS being in the control tower!

  • @AcepilotC172 He is in the cockpit with the captain and co-pilot.

  • @rollercoasterfreak36 no he is in the tower :D

  • @rollercoasterfreak36 He's in the tower. Pilots don't give directions to ATC. You don't need to be a pilot to know that towers don't taxi.

  • @PatCockburn I thought the kid was requesting take off...

  • @rollercoasterfreak36 He gave takeoff clearance to Jetblue 171, which 171 acknowledged by repeating back. I can see where the confusion there could come from, but the kid then goes on to give the same aircraft direction to contact departure. An aircraft wouldn't tell a control tower to change frequencies. ATC stays on their own frequency.

  • @PatCockburn And for some odd reason I though he was requesting contact to departure.... IDK I was tired when I typed that message...

  • @PatCockburn Lol! Well said.

  • somehow i imagine the kid was told what to say... just a hunch. guy shoulda checked it was ok before tho, so obvious he'd get noticed/in trouble. Bet that kid has a guilt complex now

  • Im jealous of this kid, and I am jealous of all controllers in general ... such an awesome job ... and don't go stress blah blah blah ... I can name 100 jobs that are more stressful ... besides, not all controllers work at Kennedy ... there are small airports out there too you know.

  • the controller should advise that the kid will be giving instructions.....

  • Was that a kid????!!!!

  • The kid on the radio was P E R F E C T...3 ATTA-BOYS for Dad and the other guys letting him do this as well as the pilots that were talking to him. We might have a future controler here... :o)

  • I dont really have a problem with the kid saying a few words in a closely controlled and monitored setting-however I also understand the other side of the arguement. This is VERY serious business, if something were to happen heads would roll. And the fact that a kid is doing this can be a distraction from a very structured situation and in that capacity alone I really dont think he should be allowed to do it.

  • @vonkiser Lighten up LIBERAL. Dad was right there telling him EXACTLY what to say and the kid did perfect. Its people like you that fine the stupidest things to whine about that are really in need of getting their ass kicked up between their ears.

  • @MotorsbyShooter listen up FAGGOT. DONT you EVER call me a liberal. Its people like you who find something to pick at without even reading the whole comment. and learn how to spell you fucking moran. Its people like you who just need their asses kicked for genral purpose. Your also the kind of pathetic loser who would be the first to line up to sue the company if something happened and it affected you. So if you brain surgeon had his kid there-but was instructing him-you would be ok with that?

  • I really don't understand why the fricken FAA got so pissed about the kid... Hey, ATC controller in training! You gotta start them early!

  • ! This kid was awesome.

  • OH NO HE SAID CLEARED FOR TAKE OFF AND CONTACT DEPARTURE... HOW Terrible... Really? your going to fire a man for letting his son say a few words? Pathetic. Even if the child made a mistake Im sure the pilot would realize it or the father would have said something. This country just sucks the fun out of everything these days.

  • @gut2instinct I don't think he got fired. Last I heard it was only a suspension, but still pretty retarded considering you've got a very experienced controller who is monitoring his every word.

  • liked the third one.

  • really? your letting you kid control aircraft? bastard should be fired

  • @Wayblazed420 you need a serious ass whipping LIBERAL

  • @MotorsbyShooter the guy who let his kid control needs a serious ass whipping

  • @Wayblazed420 Why?

  • @Wayblazed420 you have to be a FLAMING LIBERAL ASSHOLE DUMBASS SOCIALIST DEMOCRATC. You were NOT flying anything except maybe your kite. Had I been flying that day and was lucky enough to get to talk to this kid...I would have done the same as the other pilots and had fun with it. No one gives a damn what you think. We are professionals STUPID and we know what we need to do regardless if ATC tells us or not. So shut up with your whinning and go back to flying your kite.

  • @MotorsbyShooter eh fuck you too man, i dont give a shit what pilots think of it, the fucking atc shouldnt of been a dumbfuck and let his kid do his work for him..

  • @Wayblazed420 Rattle on Flaming Liberal...rattle on...no one gives a shit.

  • @MotorsbyShooter Obviously you do-PUTZ. lol LMFAO!!! You pathetic loser. I am almost embarassed to be conservative with idiots with no life but to ruin a conversation with your blah blah blah blah in the same party. Sure your not liberal? You act like one-come on you voted for Obama didnt you? Come on.....faggots can come out of the closet so can you........lol dont bother responding I wont read it.......motorinthepooter...lol...putz

  • the guy who was running atc here got fired.....

  • Bad, bad idea....

  • finnair <3 (Y)

  • That kid runs the Airport :p

  • Finnair...oone of the most safty Airline on the World. :).Hyvää soumi :))))

  • I`ll do the same with my kid

  • good job

  • ATC Outsourced to Mexico. DAMN NAFTA And Bill Clinton!

  • that was cute. rarely do I ever say that. even on youtube video comments lol

  • the thing is all conversations are recorded in the tower at all times. That's how they find out.

  • this is definitely vatsim

  • @georgeiulian89 it is definitely not

  • he did better then some newbie controllers. I wonder who reported him. Cuz pilots love this shit, and it sure as shit wasn't one of them.

  • He's the Doogie Howser of Tower Control!

  • brilliant idea dad !

  • what the fuck is going on in america...is that even legal????

  • is it fsx

  • i believe the guy with the kid got suspended or fired

  • @masterman3178 Yes he got fired!

  • Did the kid say something wrong? No. Who cares.

  • 0:21 xD

  • move the damn aeroplane!!!

  • not sure whats scarier.... That a child was allowed in the ATC or that the pilots actually obeyed what they were told by a little boy...

  • Thumbs up to the boy!

  • Lol great

  • His dad must be proud... Good job kid

  • Are they kidding me? They let a child communicate with aircraft? I wonder if that controller still has a job?

  • @bg11215 ? As long as he says the proper instructions who cares? its cute.

  • @bg11215 This is actually a rather common thing amongst pilots and controllers. It was made into a big deal when it happened at JFK, but controllers all across the country have said they have done the same, and pilots do it frequently too. Not only have I heard it whilst cruising along, but I remember when I was 12 or 13 flying my fathers twin Cessna 414AW and he let me do a little radio work with the controllers. Its not really that big of a deal.

  • @bg11215 He got fired.

  • 8910 MOVE THE DAM ASS PLANE! STRAIGHT AHEAD ON ALPHA PLEASE!

  • the kid was dangerous .

  • In the1960s a Frankfurt ATC lost patience with a BEA pilot who was having trouble following his directions when taxi-ing to the runway allocated for take off. He snapped at the pilot, "Have you never been to Frankfurt before?", to which the pilot replied, "Oh yes, lots of times, but it was dark and we didn't actually land."

  • move the damn ass plane!!!! hahahaha, that was the funniest lol!!

    also the cute kid

  • Is it really a kid talking haha? Wouldn't that be like illegal, and against a ton of regulations? Not to mention dangerous? Or is it just someone that sounds like a kid, cause I have met people who look like kids, talk like a kid, but are like 20 yrs old lol.

  • @Krukester i bet his dad did all the camandes but the kid would say it

  • Love the kid! Too bad the FAA, NTSB, and, worst of all, the TSA suck some of the fun out of flyin'!

  • its sad, cause, hey, when i fly into an airport and im given instructions by a seven year old, i will still comply, cause its english, but will have a hoot while doing it

  • hahahah that kid is hilarious!!! shows anyone can work in a tower hahaha

  • Fantastic.. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • I don't know why he got fired? Ok, yes, there aren't supposed to be untrained kids controlling mulit-million dollar planes along with peoples lifes but the pilots understood the commands, they even laughed, everyone was chilled, if someone had objections, they should of voiced them. Typical americans, jumping to conclusions and bring the hammer, should of just told him not to do it again.

  • that ATC controller that brought in his Kid got fired. Shame, kid did a good job

  • @bla0723689 really? :O how did you know>?

  • @bla0723689 Did he really get fired?

  • Why u have only that aircraft (picture) are u from finland i am from oulu

  • the kid is a beast!!!

  • awesome job kid!

  • Dome video three pictures in a row for 28 seconds you are a nerd

  • im sorry but the department of transportation has to fire you! :( sorry, oh and hey kid, you start on monday

  • I guess his father took his boy with him at work and do the rest of the job...

  • That was pretty cute. i can't believe they fired him for that there wasn't any danger at all.

  • damn i don't understand nothing , but the girl's sound is funny.

  • this kids gonna work for ATC when hes older hehe, hes got a talent

  • I now realise that when an American describes something as "very funny", it turns out to be "not very funny"

  • @sootcase

you would want to get a fu*king life,

going to every ATC recording and posting the same comment,

  • hahahah thats awesome

  • Yeah, 3 people were fired because they allowed the kid on the radio. COMPLETELY over-reacting.
