  • It looks like you are using Homeline circuit breakers which are listed for AC voltage only. If you want to use SQD breakers you need to use a dual rated AC/DC like SQDQO.

Some circuit breakers do not operate on overcurrent when 'back fed" Id suggest confirming their functionality when wired that way.

  • i want hook up sub pannel just like yrs can you do sketch how breaker wire go thanks

  • hi again

on yr breaker on the left there is red and white cable attached , is the breaker have 2 hold? is red cable come first then white or any order white and red,

and second breaker on the left why only white cable attached thanks

  • hi the first circuit breaker on the left have red and white wire from solar pannel ,and second circuit breaker have 1 white wire , why how do you attached red and white to the circuit breaker , is it have 2 hold ? thanks

  • can you do a diagram on circuit box , how hook up + - to circuit box thanks

  • i yr breaker is 1 pole or 2 pole

  • @hing983

    1 pole

  • pressure treated wood out side!!!!!!!!!!!!man

  • Another quick question sir. Are those AC breakers you have installed in that cabinet...Will they work properly in this DC configuration

  • @solaris3000

    yes and yes

  • Nice setup there, I was wondering if it would be possible to add a Charge controller to your setup? I thinking of setting mine up with a charge controller so the batteries stay fully charged then dump the battery charge thru the inverter to grid at night...

  • @solaris3000

your could do that, but these inverters will burn out quick if they have a full load on them all the time. They make new inverters that will run on 12v and lower to 10.8. Try one of these first and see what happens to it for a few weeks

another way is to run it on a dc power supply@ 11.5 volts run off a battery with a reg inverter

  • ou need as short a run of cable to the inertor as possible due to power loss. Best to have the invertor close to the panels maybe in the roof space, then do your long run to the box at mains voltage.

  • @deelean

Yea I know about the power loss. i'am going to put this stuff in the garage somewhere to fix that problem. thanks

  • You go get em Mike, Get off the grid, your doing it right. Thanks for the info.
