?? what transformer did he use? Does it supply 5 volts or what? Anyway I was thinking I have some old computer power supplies I could use, just set it up on my work bench and use it to power the CD drive. That way when I'm repairing a laptop I have a CD drive I can connect to it.
you missed a few detailes the data wire is called ide or you can get a sata which is smaller nd faster and the power connecter is a molez connecter ithing it gives 5 volts or 12 volts
