  • Another music by Ludovic Bource : "Oss 117 rio ne repond plus - Speed date car"

Movie by Michel Hazanavicius with Jean Dujardin ( OSS 117 Rio ne répond plus )

  • After watching this, I am now a fan of tap dancing!!

  • This is a quality film. It's refreshing to have such an 'old' style become new again. Bravo to The Artist!

  • you forgot to include the last line!!!

  • VIVA EL CHARLESTONE! xD

  • John Goodman and Jean Dujardin talk right after this clip...

  • Jean Dujardin is just awesome and deserves the Oscar. I have LOVED "The Artist": amazing movie!!!

BRAVO

  • @VIVIBILKA It's "Peppy and George" .

  • 666 like this video at this hour of the day! A sign?

  • ...mabellibellibelli!!!

  • The Artist Is perfect film I love that so much <3 <3

  • Watching this just makes me think of how wonderful and cultured society was back then. I weep as I see how casual and foolish things are today. I cannot wait to see this movie if only for a glimpse into what is in my opinion the greatest and most exciting part of American history. Jean Dujardin is awesome, so expressive. Honestly both he and this movie deserved the awards.

  • Bravisimo ! Wonderful ! Amazing !

  • FENOMENAL!!!! YO IGUAL PUEDO VERLO POR HORAS Y NO CANSARME

  • fabuloso!

  • Tellement fort, french talent inside

  • LOVING IT!!!!

  • Absolutely charming film and what guts the people involved had to make it and congratulations to all of them for winning 5 Oscars which they richly deserve.

  • the fucking winner!!! THE ARTIST is a jewel!!!!

  • ¡¡Bravo!!

  • Woww the winner !!!

  • you left out the best part!

  • John Goodman was a great choice too to play the producer.

  • <3.<3

  • THEY DESERVE TO WIN ALL THE TEN OSCARS THEY ARE NOMINATED FOR :D

  • I am in love with that smile of his :)

  • @curiosity55 it's a silent film. However...

    HERE BE SPOILERS

Yes, there's a few lines of spoken dialogue at the end.

  • @CaitlanNash *Another Spoiler* I think the main reason they actually included spoken dialog at the end was the twist of hearing George's accent!

  • @sachamun *spoiler included* I Think you really missed the whole point of the movie, to me the reason for incluiding the voice at the end is because he finally could find his inner voice, he found himself by dancing cause through the dance he could left his proud behind.

  • NEED OSCAR FOR DUJARDIN HANZANAVICIUS AND BERENICE

  • are there any words in this movie????

  • This movie has to get an Oscar , best actor Jean Dujardin ,and best music , Finally they made a real movie . I love it the best so far in decades .Bravo ! Bravo ! Bravo !

  • @discoinparadise This is amazingness........

  • @discoinparadise this is called a failed homage to silent films

I didn't find myself that impressed with this movie

  • I cannot get over this movie. Amazing.

  • MegaJohntheKing serait une star sur youtube!!

  • little spoiler at the end.

  • Black and white is always more glamourous

  • this really makes me want to get my tap shoes out :)

  • l like the music!

  • I could watch this for hours, it always brings a huge smile on my face

  • @Legendaryaxeman

Me too ..... love so much this

  • Haters gonna hate ! :D

  • I love black & white movies! XD

  • I have never seen a more life affirming film ever. I cannot get enough of tbis movie.

  • Hi everybody, i m french, and i can tell you Jean Dujardin is an great actor and artist but firstly he is a great personn. Here in france, we know him since long time. And long his personnality, his enthusiasm and its performances are everytime wonderfull.

I sincerly hope he will succeed in america as an big star.

  • The ending just fills me... with pleasure.

  • Come mi piacerebbe ballare il tip tap!! :D

  • I think I've lost my mind...I've seen this clip about 10 times in a row!

  • This has become my #1 favourite film - if you haven't seen it yet, it's like getting a giant shot of inspiration, adrenaline and joy! Just what I needed to kick start my year :) I'm going to stay up and watch the Oscars for the first time in years, and I hope Jean Dujardin wins best actor, because he certainly deserves to.

  • OPSO

  • Let me recomanded toYour kind attention--Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra--and also --MelodyMakes with Ondrej Havelka!! /especially- Me to tady nebavi-.//

  • All I know is that Jean Dujardin deserves the oscar for best actor.

  • @maxfaxbax Well, he got one baby!

  • @maxfaxbax And he does. Congratulations!

  • @maxfaxbax He won the Oscar, Hooray! It was my dream!

  • I love how the labored breath of the characters is the first you ever hear of them on screen.

  • The invention of tap dance right there....

  • truth artists

  • Every film from the history of its invention has had some degree of artifice. It's an artificial medium. From Edison's "Picture of a Kiss" in 1895 to 3D $200 million CGI blockbusters, it's ALL ARTIFICE. Costumes, makeup, lighting, and editing are artifice. If you're going to cry "fake" or "phony" or "contrived" at any movie, you don't belong in front of a screen. And to cry "phoniness" at a movie reduced to the basics is even more hypocritical.

  • wow . deserve the academy . wow. beautiful . magnifique - hermoso.

  • This movie is great but if it wins the oscar, then Black Dynamite should have gotten one too!

  • i saw this last night AMAZING

  • ME-RA-VI-GLIO-SO. Splendidi e splendido film.

  • Love this movie. I want to see it again.

  • When I saw the film, I had a stupid smile in my face at every moment

    It's Perfect.

    I love it =)

  • A brilliant ending to a brilliant movie! Just brilliant!

  • i was born in the wrong decade :(

  • @heyheymister i'm not sure why I still see pussies like.you guys just wanna see your comment in top comments. Grow up man! It really sucks when people pretend to say the older gen was great. Thats so old & pathetic. Stop being a pussy, enjoy the gen you live.Truly the Silent Gen sucked.

  • @shadowsmessage um...ok...? i personally love the silent generation, and name calling was not at all necesary for you to make a point that was totally irrelevant to my first comment.

  • @shadowsmessage Sounds like you have never seen a silent movie. It's like saying that 2D movies suck compared to 3D flicks.

  • @heyheymister i know what you mean, the 1920's and 1930's were an era of great style and artistry. :)

  • @Bagpuss76 yeah!! they really were awesome!!! :)

  • Film DELIZIOSO

  • What a movie!!!

  • Performers in the 30s were probably on a much higher level of tap dancing than this, but what can you do. I love that Jean and Berenice gave it a go. :) A joyful ending to a lovely film.

  • <3!

  • who needs avatar cgi!

  • @SGwizard James Cameron does! But you are right, the Artist proves that all people care for is entertainment and not just blockbusters!

  • @peteagassi *facepalm* don't knock it till you try it. you may be surprised at what you see when watching this film. stop crying about it being in black and white, and how it's a silent film. this is where films started. even today's films don't need words to communicate a feeling. think about it. you wont be bored in this film.

  • Magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • “She's mousy like a mouse you wanna stick your dick in.” - Funny People.

  • 100th LIKER!

  • @shadowsmessage They actually did. High heels have been around for a very, very long time. They came back into fashion in the late 19th century, so that means they were probably being worn in the early 20th century. Also: google "high heels flappers" or "high heels 1920's". You'll come up with images of women wearing them during the 1920's.

And even if it was a mistake, you think that is the sole reason this shouldn't get an Oscar? Did you even see the freaking movie? It's very good.

  • @katielady098 I came to say that. Thank you :)

  • @katielady098 And aside from that, this scene was in the 30's.

  • @shadowsmessage High heels have been around since Ancient Egypt. They were quite in fashion in the 1920s, actually, only declining in fashion in the 30s.

  • @shadowsmessage your whole post is a mistake actually, perhaps you might want to do some research in to women's fashion before making a fool of yourself in the future....

  • I think it needs to be said that that actress is very hot.

  • @monkeysoulpoet

she doesn't have a silent film stars face.

  • @SuperMsSonic she wasn't a SILENT film star. Kind of a key point in the film that.....

  • @Bagpuss76 Why get a bland actress to make a plot point.

  • @SuperMsSonic you said "she doesn't have a silent film star face" - she wasn't a silent film star, she was a star of the talkie era, hence your mistake. Don't try and change the goalposts. And the actress your referring to is far from bland, she is charming, intelligent and talented.

  • @monkeysoulpoet Isn't that more the fault of the makeup artist?

  • Best final twist EVER.

  • I still haven't watched the movie, but I believe I'm going to love it and I really think this is the winner of the 2012 Academy Award for Best Picture.

  • there are so many references to Singin' in the Rain!

  • best movie in 2011

  • @BrendaPancake it's called Peppy and George

  • Gotta dance! the ending to this film is just.... gotta dance!!!!!

What an amazing film = global emotiion! Won't give the ending away...

  • @fliss69 this is the ending.

  • GOTTA DAAANCE!!

  • @themegagamesgamer There are some (short) parts in which there is sound. This makes sense with the story that's told, though :)

  • @themegagamesgamer

Sound effects is 50% of the sound, the other 49% being music :)

  • @astclair yeah sorry about that. I saw the film and found out there was sound. FANTASTIC FILM! Ill probably delete that comment.

  • bellissimo film. Bello ogni tanto vederne qualcuno..... GRAZIE !

  • is this the ending?

  • @echi2567 yeah.
