i havent played gears of war 1 only 2 but to me in gears 1 they make alot of the things look harder then it is like the berserker the cog runs away cause of it and gets killed makeing it look tough mostly cause its in chains and stuff then in under like 20 seconds you can kill it with hammer burst for like 10 seconds or less and 1 grenade and people kill the corpser really fast raam all you gotta do is get a decent tactic and thats it so ya....

pfft this isnt an alternate way,most people use HoD to kill them or start to shoot them when they are open after the HoD was used. try this. when they charge you quickly run behind them plant a grenade on it as it passes. if it dosent die after that quickly run up and melee it without using the lancer

no i meant without the HoD its kinda tricky and dosent work all of the time but it is possible. i was just replaying insane today and did it on all 3 beserkers. which if done on the second beserker it frees up some time so you can use the HoD on the emergence holes in the next area if your out of grenades.
