linuxfags are sometimes dumber than windowsfags.... i myself have used many linux distros and i have debian and slackware installed on my notebook but still I think Windows XP is the best OS for everyday use. i have no problems with it while to solve/change something in linux i have to google for two weeks
Yeah, there will be one more buggy, virus riddled, less computing overhead because of tons security progs running rip off from Microsh*t in the world. Peace will break out in the middle east before Microsh*t puts out anything good/decent. In the meantime, they will keep swallowing up and killing their competitors with their shady business practices. They are the mob of the computing world. Even if they did make something decent, I wouldn't use/buy it anyway. Have a nice day. :-)
Also, "once Gallium 3D gets stable", I say again, Linux is NOT ready for prime time. It is a completely unusable desktop that installs with a screen 640 x 480 60 hz that you cannot change upon install. Again, I hate Grub. After getting rid of Linux, Grub would remain and subsequently boot later OVER the windows boot loader, in other words, Grub NEVER left the hard drive after repeated Uninstalls. I had to low level format the hard drive as there was no other way to remove this varmin.
"Once Gallium 3D gets stable" is because the programmers get no information on how the NVIDIA drivers work and have to reverse-engineer the code to get them to work.
As for the "usesless as a desktop", I'm using Linux right now. Full 3D acceleration, 1680x1050 screen straight from install, didn't need to get drivers for my screen, keyboard, mouse, DVD writer, sound card, etc. Only the video card, and that's set to change.
Grub is hard to get rid of once it's installed. Keeps booting even when you get rid of the partition it's on. So a new windows install will only boot once or twice and then grub is a hostile takeover. I had to low level format the last drive that did this. Linux is useless, Driverless, can't use latest flash, it just plain sux.
If you can't get rid of GRUB, that's because you don't know how to work with a master boot record. One other thing you fail to notice is that GRUB usually checks for other OS's and adds them to the menu, something Windows only does for other versions of Windows, and only if they are older versions.
Also: driverless? Are you kidding me? The only driver I had to add to my install was the NVIDIA driver, and that'll change once Gallium 3D gets stable.
Azraelthe7th, GRUB did no such thing as adding windows to some "menu", it did a hostile takeover of a hard drive and would not leave it's space when told to do so (i.e., making a new partition). I have been told this is because the people at Grub are the ones who "don't know" about master boot tables and install Grub on the wrong part of the hard drive. And Linux has no more power than Win 98. It even crashes like Win 98, And I say again, It is Driverless and takes longer to boot than XP.

I stand corrected, Apple's macs used to be UNIX-Like (free or open BSD, I can't remember which), but then switched to UNIX for version 10. Still, they used a number of open source apps to develop the OS, so it's not a "pure" UNIX.
Also, there is such a thing as a "core" kernel. The rt-kernel, is used for real time audio recording with minimal latency. There is another kernel developed to use Win32 calls with the Linux kernel. But those two aren't the standard kernel, but use it as base.
Sorry if I didn't phrase myself correctly, but I meant that the kernel itself would be modified to suit the needs of each distro.
Like I mentioned, some distros, like Gentoo or Arch allow you to compile the kernel, which give you the choice of what goes in.
What that amounts to is this: What you find loaded in one distro's kernel won't necessarily be there in another. It's still the Linux kernel, at its core, but it won't necessarily work in the exact manner as it would on another distro.
UNIX applications are portable, so very little if anything is required to port that shit. Besides OS X is UNIX, so it is more standards compliant than Linux. If anything is the weak link regarding UNIX it would be Linux as always fucking shit up. Linux is UNIX's retarded little cousin.
Man, I used to think the japanese were respectful and smart. Thanks for proving otherwise.
By the by, GNU/Linux has been designed to work with UNIX apps. In fact, OS X uses the BASH terminal, which was designed for GNU/Linux. So, if someone's not being standard compliant, it's OS X.
UNIX compatibility has to do with the inclusion of certain elements. Kernel APIs, and core utilities. As Bash is sh compat it is considered UNIX compat. However the Linux kernel itself is not UNIX which is a major problem. Yes GNU infringed in the opengroup's trademark by make a UNIX clone, but it is not 100% UNIX. It has problems with security extensions not being UNIX compat.
GNU was designed from the ground up to be UNIX compatible by respecting all aspects of how UNIX works. It's not a UNIX clone, per-se, but an open source implementation of UNIX.
Kind of like how React OS is an open source attempt at Windows.
Incidentally, there was no trademark on UNIX when GNU was in development, that came later on, after Microsoft practically invented software patents.
You know what is really safe in the natural world from viruses? The very lonely last living example of its species. Linux is sort of like that. All alone and no one to spend time with. Linux is such a sad story. :'(
windows is good. its windows vista that sucks cock. and everything else cept window xp, that my friend beats anything out ther, im not gonna rewatch the video to see what linux is like, all i know is it sucks. but it is better cuz its less virus prone, only reason y i would get it
That's because Linux deals with the errors it's users submit to the developers, while XP doesn't care much, and therefore is unable to get fixed properly before its vulnerabilities get exploited.
XP is 9 years old and of course it doesn't care. It is an Operating System. It cannot care because it cannot think for itself. You are saying linux can think for itself?
That was a WINDHOSE computer in the background loading antivirus definitions from floppy disk. How ironic huh, the Linux computer works no prob but the windhose computer was 'sick'. :-P
wtf are you talking about?!?! You hardly need to use codes for linux (now or days). Try Ubuntu or Fedora. It will make you wish you've never used a windows (Mac is also better than windows).
Oh and,
50 year old vergins? Rofl. I know 12 year olds who can use this shit. How old and stupid are you? Try the damn OS yah dumb shit.
You are absolutely right, now hurry up to the store to buy your 180 dollar upgrade from Windows XP (as it just blew up in your face without any chance to repair) to upgrade to Vista because the salesman told you it would fix your computer.
For the less braindead people, go with a distro like Ubuntu to get a legal and free operating system which does everything out of the box (or comes as a free addon) instead of requiring you to buy special software to actually do stuff after installing.
wow you had a nasty sound going there for a while. lolz linux owns windows, but hey what doesn't? i prefer osx but linux is nice because its FREE, which is nice.
Linux is a different "animal" than windows. If you approach it like windows you will fail and be disappointed. What makes Linux especially attractive is it's tradition of respecting user's privacy and it's resilentcy against computer virus's. Furthermore what's really exciting about Linux is that it just keeps getting better. While M$ and Windows continues to try to take users in a direction they don't want to go. Hence Windows keeps getting shittier with each new version.
Nah, not for another desktop, the second monitor happened by accident, just used for extended/bigger desktop is all in Windhose and Linux, but can also be used for multiple desktops. The multiple desktops in Linux are 'virtual', diff' instances running that are switched to. Hope this helped. >:-]
For what reason? You are stupid and can't operate anything other than Windhose? You like paying big money for garbage software (Windhose) and extra money for energy sucking and heat producing hardware for every new version? Or just maybe anything that takes a few brain cells scares you? >:-P
PCLinuxOS is loosely based on Mandriva (Mandrake) which is based Red Hat (aka Fedora nowadays). Unbuntu is Debian based but written by many (some are actually paid by the millionaire who started Ubuntu) programmers and normally has a lengthy support cycle (2 years I believe). Anything that has its roots in the old rpm based distros is usually more cutting edge. PCLinuxOS is written and run by one very nice (and broke) and smart guy who is very thorough when it comes to bugs. >:-]
No its because of the fact that every thing takes so long to do and that they have so low standards you can run linux on a fucking xbox with the right software
Listen jew or whatever your name is, this isn't a Linux bashing forum, it's the comments for a video of a nicely polished Linux distribution that I got to run on a state of the art (at the time) computer with little to no problem, NOT LIKE THE CRAP YOUR FRIENDS AT MICROSHIT PUT OUT, XP ran like crap and Vista wanted a better video card! I paid $150 for the one I have cuz I am not a 'gamer' and didn't need a better one, I will be damned if I spend ANTOTHER $300 or more just to run Shista! >:-P
Whatever juvenile, where is your other/alternative OS testing videos? Oh, sorry, forgot you can only operate crap from WeLoveToHoldYourHandAndSpyOnYouMicrosoft Corporation. >:-P
okay 1 i only use windows so technically i cant even show you an alternative os and 2 i can run every thing thats good about a linux (not much) on my pc so i guess linux only operates crap to.
but i will give you this linux is better than mac
For every piece of shitty Windows software, there is a free, open source Linux alternative that's 10x better. For every Windows game, there is a free, open source game that's 10x better.
So technically, I can run everything that's good about Windows (not much) with Linux... For free... Without problems... But I will give you that Windows is better (only slightly) than shit
No i said GOOD about linux. all those programs and games suck balls through a straw and plus in canada open source is illegal. and also shit is BETTER than linux so i guess were better.
Don't listen to that PC fanboy and windblows fan. I HATE people who come on videos and just spread hate. I'm a Mac guy who uses it everyday and I'll admit I like Linux. I'm not going to HATE an OS. Welllll, maybe Windows
No no, PC means "personal computer" which was first made by IBM, then copied by other makers (ever hear "PC or compatible" before? It's because IBM was the orginal maker). Most people relate Windhose to PCs because of their evil monopoly (there is a good possibility Microsoft and Bill Gates are the anti-christ ;-]). Linux is just more better cuz it is free and works waaaaaaaaaay better.
I was wondering does it come with bootloader? i have Vista currently with an extra unused hard drive in a non-RAID format, i already know alot about PCLOS, (and how it makes ubuntu look like win 95) and Linux in general but i wanted to have one PC with two OS's on 2 separate hard drives and have it ask me which to boot to, please help
Google "GAG bootloader". It installed to my Raid but was a bit confusing to use. (disclaimer: I don't know if it will work on your setup, mine is ICH7R Intel Raid. Also, I didn't try it with Vista). Hope it works for you but please BACK EVERYTHING UP BEFORE TRYING IT. >:-]
Thanks for the suggestion, I installed XP over Vista, (YES IT IS THAT BAD the control panel never worked even when i reinstalled the entire OS) but thanks for the boot loader, I found that GRUB works best for me tho.
I'd like to argue, Mac's are NOT overpriced. Maybe in the past they were expensive, but not anymore. You can get a pretty nice Mac Mini for $600 (or $500, forgot) the iMac ranges from $1000, and the value of the Powermac is even better then the Dells higher end machines, and it blows away alienwares.
Mac is more proprietary than Windhose, they make sure you buy THEIR hardware to run Mac OSwhatever. At least with Windhose, you can run it on most x86 and *64 machines. Also, anything Apple has never been cheap, plus you have to upgrade with mostly their products at inflated prices.
I think that macs and linux are one and the same. The only reason why macs have large price tags is that their consumer base is so small. If more people went for macs, their prices would fall (economics 101). I think Linux beats everything. It is FREE. I don't have to worry about a lawsuit against me for downloading it, and the only reason less people use it is because they are scared of change.
I wanna download linux but I dont know where to star and the instructions to do so. How do I start off and how do I start off? Do I need a disc? Thanx
K, I don't want to start a distro war but PCLinuxOS is way more friendly and functional, specially after it's installed, you can get proprietary 'packages' (aka software). Ubuntu is not big on proprietary drivers and software, also, you have to edit a file just to read a native (local machine) hard drive. There are sites that sell burned copies for a few bucks a piece. If you turn out to be a troll, your posts will come down. Good luck.
If i set up a dual boot on my current windows computer to run this version will i need any particular hardware or will this run on most modern PCs? Will i still need anti virus software and a firewall. And also about how much disk space does linux use? Really apreciated thanx alot
New hardware-no (you may have to shrink your Windhose partition to make room for a Linux partition), there is free antivirus (although you don't need it) and firewalls for Linux (using a firewall with any OS is recommended), the average Linux install (tons of free software included) can be anywhere from 2GB to 6GB or more (average about 4GB). I have discovered Sabayon Linux is better than PCLinuxOS, the OS and the forum. You are welcome. >:-)
you'd think with all that hardware you are impressing yourself with you'd be making all sorts of exciting and creative videos. like maybe a video of you opening your mail client. or deleting a file! maybe even deleting multiple files!
what is pclinuxos anyway? is that another one of those flavor-of-the-month bastardized versions of debian?
When this video was made, it was a brand new, state of the art computer and I got everything working, read the previous posts first maybe next time. The point is, you don't need Windhose anymore.
Umm, the whole idea is to 'ease' Windhose droids into using something that doesn't track them or cost a fortune in upkeep and basic freedoms. I guess you like being a b*tch of the biggest software monopoly on earth. Wake up, they want to control everything computer related, time is running out.
you don't have to type "windhose" (or W1nD0z3 or m1cro$l0th or any of the other billion mid-90's teen-speak rebellious cute-isms) EVERY SINGLE FREAKING TIME YOU TYPE THE WORD... we get it. winblows. right. got it.
That is the proprietary nVidia driver from there website, I just updated it recently without fail. Kudos to nVidia for supporting Linux AND constantly improving their drivers. They have a lifelong customer in me. :-) If you go to the PCLinuxOS forum and search "twinview" or "dualview", you should find the thread that goes into detail how to tweak the xorg.conf file. ;-)
I agree but I wanted the full blown deal for my new computer. Big Daddy 0.93a comes with a newer kernel to get started with, then upgrade to the 'smp' kernel for the dual cores. If you update 'mini', you wind up with the latest system anyway. I still use MiniMe alot to rescue other computers (delete pesky virus files, etc.), thanks for the generous rating. >:-]
For experienced users viewing this video...this video is meant as a demonstration for people new to Linux, that is why I am somewhat verbose in my narration. Thanks for understanding. >:-]
That floppy drive you hear in the background is a P4 1.6GHz Windhose box making its own AVG antivirus emergency boot floppy set. Hmmm, Windhose and antivirus, what else is new, heh?!
The only thing that doesn't work is the Intel Raid on the ICH7R chip in Linux, Intel conveniently forgot to write a driver for it, *ssholes, grrrrrrrr. >:-[

If your skin is crusty and your house is musty, then PCLinuxOS is for you.
If your mind is weak and your outlook bleak, then PCLinuxOS is for you.
If you're old and your computer will fold, then PCLinuxOS is for you.
I always wondered what it would look like if all the residents of a resthome got together and made their own linux distro.
System Requirements include must be senile and 85 years old to install PCLinuxOS.

Bzzt wrong. Not all distros use the same kernel, and not all drivers are activated by all distros.
You should really get your facts straight.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
All distros use the Linux kernel therefore have the same kernel. It doesn't matter if some have different drivers than others. Still the same kernel.
Go to school.
JamesManes 2 years ago

Linux = Linux kernel. If Linux does not use the linux kernel it is not linux. How do you not understand this.
JamesManes 2 years ago
Linux is the Kernel. I meant that not all Linux distros use the same Kernel.
Some of them use a development version, others choose the last stable one. Others allow you to define what goes into the built kernel.
What you don't understand is that while the core kernel may be the same, what's loaded into it isn't always so.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
If the core kernel is the same that means the kernel is the same.
JamesManes 2 years ago
New term: core kernel. That is kind of like a core core or kernel's kernel.

Windows has slipped below the 90% market share. It's been more preyed upon because it's a lot more vulnerable than how GNU/Linux works. Deal with it.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
Windows permissions are more extensive than POSIX permissions, and ActiveX is dead.
As Windows contains POSIX permissions plus a ton more, it cannot be said it is less secure due to the way it handles permissions.
Give an example of an error where Window's mishandles permissions.

That said, there are things I don't know, or fully master, but I don't go around telling people they're idiots just because I don't agree with them.
I mean, look at all of your posts and the ratio of you calling others idiots is astounding.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
I don't care how long you have been using computers.
There is no such thing as a core kernel
OS X is not unix-like
If you have been using PCs for so long you should know this then correct?
JamesManes 2 years ago
I stand corrected, Apple's macs used to be UNIX-Like (free or open BSD, I can't remember which), but then switched to UNIX for version 10. Still, they used a number of open source apps to develop the OS, so it's not a "pure" UNIX.
Also, there is such a thing as a "core" kernel. The rt-kernel, is used for real time audio recording with minimal latency. There is another kernel developed to use Win32 calls with the Linux kernel. But those two aren't the standard kernel, but use it as base.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
Go back to the start of the argument. You said different distros had different kernels. which isn't true.
JamesManes 2 years ago
Sorry if I didn't phrase myself correctly, but I meant that the kernel itself would be modified to suit the needs of each distro.
Like I mentioned, some distros, like Gentoo or Arch allow you to compile the kernel, which give you the choice of what goes in.
What that amounts to is this: What you find loaded in one distro's kernel won't necessarily be there in another. It's still the Linux kernel, at its core, but it won't necessarily work in the exact manner as it would on another distro.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
All distros that I've come across allow you to compile kernel - all you need is the knowledge.
(Although its been a few years since I actually did).

Just so you know, my last post before today was three weeks ago. I had forgotten about this video until I got an automatic e-mail response.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
You have about 3 years on me.
ismouton 2 years ago
Honestly, that's more than enough.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
UNIX applications are portable, so very little if anything is required to port that shit. Besides OS X is UNIX, so it is more standards compliant than Linux. If anything is the weak link regarding UNIX it would be Linux as always fucking shit up. Linux is UNIX's retarded little cousin.
ismouton 2 years ago
Man, I used to think the japanese were respectful and smart. Thanks for proving otherwise.
By the by, GNU/Linux has been designed to work with UNIX apps. In fact, OS X uses the BASH terminal, which was designed for GNU/Linux. So, if someone's not being standard compliant, it's OS X.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
UNIX compatibility has to do with the inclusion of certain elements. Kernel APIs, and core utilities. As Bash is sh compat it is considered UNIX compat. However the Linux kernel itself is not UNIX which is a major problem. Yes GNU infringed in the opengroup's trademark by make a UNIX clone, but it is not 100% UNIX. It has problems with security extensions not being UNIX compat.
ismouton 2 years ago
GNU was designed from the ground up to be UNIX compatible by respecting all aspects of how UNIX works. It's not a UNIX clone, per-se, but an open source implementation of UNIX.
Kind of like how React OS is an open source attempt at Windows.
Incidentally, there was no trademark on UNIX when GNU was in development, that came later on, after Microsoft practically invented software patents.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
You know what is really safe in the natural world from viruses? The very lonely last living example of its species. Linux is sort of like that. All alone and no one to spend time with. Linux is such a sad story. :'(
ismouton 2 years ago
Oh, you're funny. You know what else viruses do? Spread like crazy, assimilate what they want and destroy everything in their paths.
Kind of like Microsoft, really.

classicrockonly 2 years ago
Sure, XP is good...after 6 years of patching.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
heh yea :P
classicrockonly 2 years ago
Linux has been patched since 1992. Thats a little longer than 6 years and Xp can still do more.
JamesManes 2 years ago
Wow, there's so much wrong in what you're saying, but I'll leave you to your delusions.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
Linux has over 100,000 patches. XP doesn't.
JamesManes 2 years ago
That's because Linux deals with the errors it's users submit to the developers, while XP doesn't care much, and therefore is unable to get fixed properly before its vulnerabilities get exploited.
Azraelthe7th 2 years ago
XP is 9 years old and of course it doesn't care. It is an Operating System. It cannot care because it cannot think for itself. You are saying linux can think for itself?
JamesManes 2 years ago
I meant the XP developers, idiot.

Linux blow donkey cock and so do all the 50-year-old virgins who use it!
Sorry, but I prefer not to have to put in 45 lines of code and spend 3 weeks in Linux forums just to install a driver!
gregdogg 3 years ago
wtf are you talking about?!?!

For the less braindead people, go with a distro like Ubuntu to get a legal and free operating system which does everything out of the box (or comes as a free addon) instead of requiring you to buy special software to actually do stuff after installing.

ude i wa kidding. i KNOW its not completely safe.but you have to admit that it is WAY safer than XP/Vista or Linux WITHOUT virus protection.

Hence Windows keeps getting shittier with each new version.

no offence,I just want to know why
kindvideo2 4 years ago
Nah, not for another desktop, the second monitor happened by accident, just used for extended/bigger desktop is all in Windhose and Linux, but can also be used for multiple desktops. The multiple desktops in Linux are 'virtual', diff' instances running that are switched to. Hope this helped. >:-]

How does PCLinuxOS compare to ubuntu?
I've probably used like 100 linux distros, but stick with ubuntu because of it's large community
Steven707 4 years ago
PCLinuxOS is loosely based on Mandriva (Mandrake) which is based Red Hat (aka Fedora nowadays). Unbuntu is Debian based but written by many (some are actually paid by the millionaire who started Ubuntu) programmers and normally has a lengthy support cycle (2 years I believe). Anything that has its roots in the old rpm based distros is usually more cutting edge. PCLinuxOS is written and run by one very nice (and broke) and smart guy who is very thorough when it comes to bugs. >:-]
LinuxFanboy 4 years ago
hmm maybe I'll install PCLinuxOS in a Virtual PC and try it out
Steven707 4 years ago
No its because of the fact that every thing takes so long to do and that they have so low standards you can run linux on a fucking xbox with the right software

Listen jew or whatever your name is, this isn't a Linux bashing forum, it's the comments for a video of a nicely polished Linux distribution that I got to run on a state of the art (at the time) computer with little to no problem, NOT LIKE THE CRAP YOUR FRIENDS AT MICROSHIT PUT OUT, XP ran like crap and Vista wanted a better video card! okay 1 i only use windows so technically i cant even show you an alternative os and 2 i can run every thing thats good about a linux (not much) on my pc so i guess linux only operates crap to.
but i will give you this linux is better than mac
Jejeueeeee 4 years ago
You can run everything good about Linux?
Really?
Compiz-fusion?
Beryl?
Kiba-Dock?
For every piece of shitty Windows software, there is a free, open source Linux alternative that's 10x better. For every Windows game, there is a free, open source game that's 10x better.
So technically, I can run everything that's good about Windows (not much) with Linux... For free... Without problems... But I will give you that Windows is better (only slightly) than shit
Steven707 4 years ago
No i said GOOD about linux. all those programs and games suck balls through a straw and plus in canada open source is illegal. and also shit is BETTER than linux so i guess were better.

The only advantage that Vista has over shit is DirectX10

y is Linux better than pc
RAGEMARINE 4 years ago

WaliWorldX 4 years ago
Google "GAG bootloader". It installed to my Raid but was a bit confusing to use. (disclaimer: I don't know if it will work on your setup, mine is ICH7R Intel Raid. Also, I didn't try it with Vista). Hope it works for you but please BACK EVERYTHING UP BEFORE TRYING IT. >:-]
LinuxFanboy 4 years ago
Forgot to mention, you can install it to a floppy too (use the floppy to boot) but like I said, it can be a little tricky. >:-]
LinuxFanboy 4 years ago
Thanks for the suggestion, I installed XP over Vista, (YES IT IS THAT BAD the control panel never worked even when i reinstalled the entire OS) but thanks for the boot loader, I found that GRUB works best for me tho.
WaliWorldX 4 years ago
I'd like to argue, Mac's are NOT overpriced. Maybe in the past they were expensive, but not anymore. You can get a pretty nice Mac Mini for $600 (or $500, forgot) the iMac ranges from $1000, and the value of the Powermac is even better then the Dells higher end machines, and it blows away alienwares.
KurtangleTN 4 years ago
you dont know what the hell you are talking about
macs are slow and horrible, pc's are fine
you can build a pc as strong as a "good" imac for 300 or 400 dollars, and install linux on it, and get a nice, stable system
llamaswithattitude 4 years ago
Really they are? You haven't used a Mac have you? Or know what an iMac is, or know the cost of the parts on the iMac?

Mac owns all of your crappy OSes
GenCollado 4 years ago
Mac is more proprietary than Windhose, they make sure you buy THEIR hardware to run Mac OSwhatever. At least with Windhose, you can run it on most x86 and *64 machines. Also, anything Apple has never been cheap, plus you have to upgrade with mostly their products at inflated prices.
LinuxFanboy 4 years ago
I think that macs and linux are one and the same. The only reason why macs have large price tags is that their consumer base is so small. If more people went for macs, their prices would fall (economics 101). I think Linux beats everything. It is FREE. I don't have to worry about a lawsuit against me for downloading it, and the only reason less people use it is because they are scared of change.

Thank you, I found it, but what If I dont have a cd burner? Isn't there a plan two? Thanx
mike12jrw1111113 4 years ago

Ryan18181 4 years ago
New hardware-no (you may have to shrink your Windhose partition to make room for a Linux partition), there is free antivirus (although you don't need it) and firewalls for Linux (using a firewall with any OS is recommended), the average Linux install (tons of free software included) can be anywhere from 2GB to 6GB or more (average about 4GB). I have discovered Sabayon Linux is better than PCLinuxOS, the OS and the forum. You are welcome. >:-)
LinuxFanboy 4 years ago
you'd think with all that hardware you are impressing yourself with you'd be making all sorts of exciting and creative videos. like maybe a video of you opening your mail client. or deleting a file! maybe even deleting multiple files!
what is pclinuxos anyway? is that another one of those flavor-of-the-month bastardized versions of debian?
