im not disagreeing with your comment i am just saying physical attributes like height and strength can help you get the leverage to hit a ball further and the amount of practice tiger and other pro's are able to get helps on the set up and timing fr accuracy so that is not completely true

Your grip and set up must be correct. After that, you have to dedicate yourself to the range. No less than three times a week. You WILL see results on the course. Look up some videos on proper grip and set up and go from there.
practice and take a few lessons. a couple lessons will knock off a dozen strokes. they will teach you club selection in diff situations, hand positionings and the correct swing.
