Nehalem is the "code name" for the microarchitecture . Those names are always weird and are never used or intended for use in marketing. The 32nm shrink of Nehalem will be called "Westmere" and the next architecture "Sandy bridge".

Also, your guess is close - Nehalem is the name of a river which is in turn named after a native-american tribe.

This comes as no surprise as Intel has presence in Portland Oregon and has also named a previous architecture Tillamook after a city on the Oregon coast. I have been there before, its a really nice area not to mention there is a factory in the city which makes some really good ice cream and cheese.

Hi Moscow - almost everything that you see is filmed with the Sanyo Xacti 1010 at 720P. Damn good, right? And now that camera, which was $1,000 when I purchased it new a year ago, can be gotten on Amazon for about $325. While there is a newer model, the 2000A, the enhancements are not too significant in my opinion.
