  • Dude, your clock sounds like it came straight from resident evil haha

  • do u think it can be upgraded to android 2.3 or later .. ??

  • @kethan008 yes

  • I was looking around for something like this and the only issue I have before buying has already been mentioned. I have a 2.5" 500gb external, runs through usb 3.0, would you happen to know if its supported, or maybe a site where there's something related to it? I found it on dealextreme.c o m but there are no reviews or contacts, a reply is very much appreciated Thanks!

  • Thanks a ton for the reply.. U mean 500gb ntfs.??. I'm planning to order mine from pandawill for 149, .thanks for your help

  • Hi, could you please tell me about the android box.. How does it perform..What format external hard drive can be attached? Thanks

  • @docnar

I got one of these boxes last week. They pretty much need to firmware update, I haven't done mine yet but apparently there is some probelsm with wifi and bluetooth that the update fixes. I have not noticed these problems myself. The box is very smooth in general use (menu's, web browsing, youtube etc etc ) Plays AVI files from my PC over WiFi flawlessly - MKV is not so good. I am going to convert my MKV to MP4(1080p) and play them locally - this will solve the problem I think

  • @deanfarnaby Thanks dear for the prompt reply.. couple more questions.. Does a normal wired mouse or infra red mouse work fine? I assume keyboard should like on other android devices.. Does it read ntfs external hard drive?? Try the mobo and dice player if you have not before.. they might work for mkv videos..

  • @docnar

Normal USB mouse of any kind seems to work fine, same with keyboard. Not sure about NTFS external HDD. I meant to say , not sure on the maximum HDD size. I know of sombody with a 500gb linked up but I presume it can handle more. I use dice player atm. I think the issue is caused by a combo of 3 things. 1. Video is being hardware encoded. 2. System is the hardware upscaling to 1080p 3. The video is streaming over wifi . These 3 things together = lag. Local MP4 should be fine

  • @docnar

Android has native support for MP4 so no hardware encoding is required. Playing flash games is supported and quite smooth, games from the android market are great. Although, If a game is "set" to display in landscape mode only you will have problems as all tv's are landscape, obviously. Apart from that it's great. Chrome book boasts off to web in 8 seconds. This box is faster! boots in about 2 seconds from hibernate.
