I dont know where you've been the last 10 years but it's been bad since 9/11. Whether the govt was involved in that or not is irrelevant. You can debate that back and forth all day. But what isn't debateable, is that the govt USED 9/11 as an excuse for many things. The one this song focuses on, is dare i say a police state. The chemical and TV comfort of America has been around for decades. The "current state" of things has been getting worse and soon we'll all have to choose security or liberty

When you begin to get scared of stating the un-status quo opinion, such as "America is quickly becoming a police state", that's when you know it truly is becoming something else. Can you see where it's going like I can? Can you imagine how bad things will be here in not even 12 months? I know so many would say I'm overreacting, unrealistic, "that would never happen here". It IS HAPPENING. And by denying it people are helping it move faster. I hate to say it, but we deserve it if we let it happen

The ending was the best. When he explains everything to him like newspeak and the like... Completely poignant today. We are our own guards you know. I think i'm very open-minded but I dont know if 9/11 was an inside job. What I do know is that if you propose that theory, with its evidence to most people, they will reject it outright, WITHOUT having looked at the evidence at least once. The brain literally has walls protecting it from change. It will be worse than 1984 because of that very reason

Very good question... Here's my 2 cents. In the context of making changes on youtube, yes, in small ways you can with a single comment. Especially if a lot of people read it since sharing ideas is an exchange of realities, which could do a lot for someone who has few people to talk to or sources of info.

going thru a period of time where there's so much chaos bc the old corrupt way of doing things is dying, and old habits die hard. And this ties into the other point you made about "allow them to be". It's dying hard bc the people in power are in cahoots. There are many books written and whistleblowers to be heard on the subject. The world is controlled by a financial elite that cant really be fought IMO. Changes CAN be made, but it would take the entire US pop. to wake up and kick them all out

The planet cant go on like this, and with the (unfortunately), huge amount of ignorant morons running around, there will be a purge. Whether its God or Mother Earth or both, doesnt matter. Many people will be wiped out and those that are left were either smart enough to see the signs and prepare, OR they were lucky. i think this video and the song represents what America's becoming.
we're going into a 1984-type world because of Americas comforts. we've become lazy, decadent, sinful, careless, ignorant, and apathetic. the empire is collapsing and everyone's literally just watching TV... living their lies without question.
Hoping for a better tomorrow that they wont have to build themselves, but be given to them for nothing.
