I love his love songs. And I love this song too.

For all you know, this will be on his next album. There were songs he made back then (I'm in Peace) that ended up on his newest album.

Let him grow in his music at his own pace; It's not as if he's never had world-aware songs before (Save Him, Down in a Cold Dirty Well).

I think it would be great if Justin decided to make more songs like this one and like Motherland, but he should keep writing and singing about what's in his heart.

@laynasmom I think he does have the final say on what songs make it on the album, that's why he went independent, otherwise he could have accepted the record deal he was offered by this big label (Universal?) a couple years ago... but he wanted total freedom as an artist, so I don't think he'd let anybody tell him what he can do and what not..
