  • Yes of course you are correct. This is in the Gawazee style for performance purposes only, in Washington State. Sorry if you are offended by this, but there are no Fellahin or Fellaht drummers in any place in N. America,that I know of, but try to at least dance to the music and style similar to the country dance of Upper Egypt. An interpretation to say the least! I love the song and NOT wearing a gypsy or beaded costume, I hope was noted, Thank you Farideh.

    I don't think this is gawazee but fellahat (folk music upper Egypt) and around the 5:50" mark; the music goes to an all male wedding piece. This is where the men spin around with their instruments including a very large drum as I remember it in Luxor,

    during a fellah demo for the tourists.
