Thanks everyone for your comments. Orville says thank you too for the extra pea treats! You'll be pleased to know he is still alive and doing very well, probably due to all the pea treats he gets. We did have a small incident a couple of months ago when his big round ass got sucked into the filter pipe when I was cleaning it, but he survived without a scratch (in fact I think he liked it!!). Thanks again for the comments, I'll post a new video soon :-)

Just got a Pearlscale yesterday, been wanting one for almost a year now and was most surprised when I found my local pet shop's started selling them.

They're so adorable. Now to find a bubble-eye and my aquarium is complete.

@Mamboleo1995 Yeah, he loves them... all my goldfishes do. Make sure you remove the skin then chop the pea up into about 8 pieces, then drop them into the water and your goldfish will be your friend for life!! Half a pea per fish is usually enough, and I usually give them as a treat once or twice a week. Aparently its good for their digestion too, and stops them from getting swim bladder disease!!

yes! good advice. It's important for all fish enthusiasts to know that peas are a very important part of a fish's diet. It helps regulate their equilibrium and helps in their balance in the water. That's the reason why sometimes when fish get swim bladder disease, they can't balance themselves and lie on their sides. so yes, PEAS for FISH!!

I LOVE goldfish. They're most gentle and sweet fish around.

Oooooo!!! I just got a yellow pearlscale and I named it Lemon Dropb:) hahaha I have a cute vid on my channel if you'd like to see... I find pearls a rarity :( so I had to put other kinds of goldfish in my tank but they are super cute!!! And I woulda named your's Pumpkin :) MEGA cuteness!!!!!!!

Thanks for your kind comments guys. Orville (yes... named after a green duck!!) is a very special little goldfish. And he is now an Internet sensation with nearly 900 hits!! Everytime he gets a new comment I give him a special treat... peas seem to be his favourite at the moment. All my other goldfish are much bigger now since I made this video, but Orville is still tiny and still shaped like a gobstopper!! He has taken to spending alot of his time hiding in the plants so that the water current
