  • This could have turned into a hoarding problem because you are young, it's great that you caught it early.

  • you have an obsession with boxes

  • Is this a joke? This is not hoarding.

  • Hoarder?I dont think so

  • Take paint down to your local hazardous waste disposal facility. You can google it.

  • your house would take like a day to clean out. go to some other peoples houses, you'll see what HOARDING really is.

  • ur a hypocondirac not a hoarder

yovue watched TV and saw shows about hoarders and now u think you have it

by the way boxes not furniture

    you only have a bed

    get a life

go feed homeless people or do something uselful

  • you are too clean and organised for a hoarder. now my house, my house is full of junk and clutter. my bedroom is like a storage room i sleep in. i have stuff like games and toys and clothes from when i was a kid in there. i'll never use them again but i can't pick up the courage to get rid of them. also you can't see my floor. theres clothes and paper and rubbish on my floor. in the kitchen i have cracked and broken plates. don't wanna throw away.

  • So how are you doing now? I see this is three years ago from the time I'm writing this. This doesn't look as bad as what they show on the hoarder show on aetv, but it looks like you were living alone. Did the generations before you have the problem from the age you are here and in later years their floors were barely noticeable? You are smart to get a hold on it early. I hope by now you are improved, but if there is still a problem, believe me, it is do-able.

  • if this is hoarding I guess I need an intervention lol have you watched the show hoarders? these people have rotting food for years just laying in the middle of the floor with bugs and rodents everywhere.. yikes!!!! your house is just a tiny bit cluttered in fact it looks cleaner than most houses I go to lol

  • I think you just have bachelor problems lol. Most guys are messy, but it is good that you are aware of the mess. Just don't begin to pile up somemore. Good for you that you are aware of the piling up. good luck.

  • Well my advice dude is 1st put the tapes, cd, casettes under the tv u have get a flaty screen to fit the other speakers, then sell the old tv at a pawn shop, throw away old coupons and magazines. But your not as bad as my mom, she is really horrible.

  • You barely have anything in that room.

  • You don't look like a hoarder at all. You just look like a typical single guy!

  • This isnt nothing... I should show you the 7 years worth of pilled up stuff I live in thanks to my mother. For the sake of God. Someone out there PLEASE pray for my family. I cannot deal with this any longer. I am at a breaking point.

  • I`d be more concerned about your sheet obsession. Don`t think your a hoarder, just normal.

  • @kitty3309 OMG HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I think you just need some shelves and a desk. I don't think you will get like your dad, cause you see how wrong it is.

  • @tumbleweedsback - I agree. You might need to throw out the boxes, some papers or packaging. Otherwise, if you can invest in shelves, desk, dresser, tables, utility shelves, etc, you will be more organized.

Get your friends to help. Throw a "housecleaning/makeover" party. Buy pizza, beer, assorted munchies and spend an afternoon rearranging, picking up and adding new furniture peices. ;D

  • yeah really.

  • Hoarding is a type of solution to consumerism. In fact a healthier solution for us and our planet than garbaging or "throwing away"

    Where is 'away' anyway.

Jugs of water (containers) are returnable for money.

thank you for taking the time to share

  • @gaiagale Except for the fact that real hoarders rarely use anything they collect. Then someone else has to come clean it all out and throw it away. If the person would have just recycled or sold their stuff before it got out of hand, the landfill would contain three dumpsters fewer.

  • You're not a hoarder, dude.

  • but he might just be a hypochondriac....

  • My god i wish our house was like that !!

Ours is full to the brim and getting worse.

Most rooms you cant get through the door.

  • Go to Google and type in Hoarder TV show on A & E.The show was on tonight at ten pm,est.

  • I am glad you recognize the beginning of a hoarding condition. That's a step towards remedy so now just make the decision to clean it up and know that it is OK to let go of those empty boxes.

  • listen people, everhing has a start, even the worst hoarders and one time had a perfectly clean house

  • Real hoarders don't use vacuum cleaners! lol... that looks like a hoarders paradise!

  • I would define these as totally normal possessions (if anything it is a little sparse) but you have no proper storage. Phone books, spice rack, vacuum cleaner - all normal - they just need a spot.

I have a tendency to hold onto things and the book 'Sorted' by Lissane Oliver really helped me

  • you just junky bro.....get yo lazy ass up and clean......triple d

  • Im a hoarder and what my horde consists of is over 400 Transformer toys. Ive put about 2500.00 into it and its worth around 25000.00 now. Hoarding can be detrimental but also profitable cause guess what? I suffered brain damage and started noticing after that I started counting things like lights on a building and soon after that I started hoarding comics to which is unfortunate. Any person can say its a buncha bull but my accident has actually enabled me to make lots of money. Go figure.

  • Your not in it as bad as most other hoarders out there...I mean if only you could see my uncles house. His whole house from bottom to top full of things including trash that he can't let go. After seeig your video I'm thinking it's not bad but I get it that it's about not being able to let them go. It will only get worse if you don't seek councling of some sort. I believe my uncle wouldn't be where he is today if he got councling when he was younger.

  • You are not a hoarder, you just don't clean up. There is a big difference.

  • @imanerd36 ====I was just gonna write---NOT Hoarder! Just plaain fucking lazy! All the while he's viseotaping this---clean the crap up!!! Try straight to your apt. dumpster outside! "Problem" solved!!!!

  • You know that you are capable of getting worse. But right now, I think you just have an OCD problem with boxes and organization. Put the stuff in the boxes and throw it away. It would take no time at all. My bedroom is worse than your whole house. But I KNOW its just messy. Its ok to be messy sometimes and clean up later. I think you are worried it will get worse. Put an end to it.

  • If you watched his channel you would realize that his father was a hoarder and all hoarding starts out small. If he doesn't get help now it will only get worse as he gets older!

  • This is not a mental condition or a disorder or an illness. It's just people who are lazy and dirty. Stop making excuses and throw your shit away. LOSER

  • Most mental health professionals disagree with you. It is a type of OCD. Until you have lived with a hoarder, you have no idea their though process.

  • "imanerd36" = screw you. (1) most mental health professionals are themselves fucking nuts, and (2) I have never and will never buy into the total CRAP and NONSENSE that "unless I have lived with / been a (insert fucked-up-ness here) I can't comment. Fuck that shit. That's like saying unless a doctor is 400 Lbs. and had 3 heart attacks, he can't "judge" and tell fatty to eat a few salads. BULLSHIT. Stop making ignorant excuses and enabling people that need their asses kicked.

  • So you are saying that you know more about mental health than someone who went to college for 8-12 years to learn about it?

Mental illness is not something that you can see on the outside, It is not something that you can tell someone to change and they can.

  • imanerd36, yes I am saying exactly that. All the psychotic nutjobs that spend 12 years in college surrounded by other nutjobs get engrained in a "group think" that THEY and they alone have the answer to everything. Fuck that shit. Colleges are no longer educators, but just brainwash tanks that churn out educated idiots with no COMMON SENSE, but who are elitist snobs convinced they cannot be questioned on anything.

  • lol lamest horder ever! ;p

  • I agree you are just Lazy. You are far from a hoarder. Throw them boxes away if you are not moving or going to sell your equipment.

  • He needs to hoard a tall glass of shut the fuck up. Lol

  • I'm not a hoarder, but have come across quite a few hoarders working in social services. How much anxiety would it create for you to throw things out? Because I have seen much worst cases, but hoarding worsens with age and social isolation. If you can get it in check now, you'd be much better off than when you're 80 and your place is just unliveable.

  • Get rid of the cardboard boxes, buy some nice plants and art to spruce up the place, and you could turn your house into something more personal.

I can see your clutter is becoming a real problem. Perhaps you should hire a personal coach who could teach you how to deal with it.

  • you r just lazy son!

put all that shit in the attic or basement! simple as that.

  • Dude, You are not a hoarder. Honestly... a hoarder is wall to wall, floor to ceiling. It would take you 2 hours to organize your place if you put your mind to it.

  • I have this problem also. Thanks for talking about it. I was in the Army where I was forced to live super organized. I was a hoarder before I was in the Army, and still a hoarder after I got out. I know guys that are West Point Graduates that are hoarders too.

  • I know hoarding,,, this is a good to go house.. just need some organizing.. you should see my house... OUCH!! I have been purging for over 10 years.... & it is still OUCH!!

  • This is not horading! you just need to organize, when you feel like it! You are a clutter bug. i have been with someone who hoardes. Feel LUCKY you dont have the real Problem! But take the time to THROW away old boxes it is not hard, since you are not a needed medicated Hoareder! But go thru it! before YOU become one of them!!! and you do not show your face, you should.

  • Thats nothing bro. My mom has a box of hangers in the middle of her living room, boxes of mail, magazines, clothes, plastic bags of junk everywhere around her house. No one can come over because there is no where to sit.

  • this is not a problem. you are just lazy

  • this is nowhere near what a real hoarding problem is. You're just lazy and need to clean.

  • If you were a hoarder your entire house would be full. Hoarding is a serious problem and all you have is an organization problem. Get some filing cabinets and some furniture and just spend a day organizing. You should watch the show help Im a hoarder. There is a you tube version. Then u will realize you are no where close to being a hoarder.

  • your house is empty

your just liveing out of boxs

you get your self 2-3 book cases, a desk, another file cabnet,& some hangers

    nice rolling tray on table

  • clutter is an excuse not to clean

  • Your place is great. It won't be too bad to declutter. But I think you will need to call in a friend to help you to get rid of stuff you want to keep but don't really need.

  • Honey - this is "Man-town" behaviour - fairplay to you for dealing with it before it gets to be too much!

  • Not hoarding. I can see the floor. This is something a maid and a professional organizer could solve in an hour. Hoarders have messes that would take weeks to clean.

  • You have a beautiful home. I can't wait to see what you do with it. I'm glad you're getting a grip on this while you're young. I have the same problems, thanks for sharing.

  • I agree, this is not a hoarding problem. It sounds like you have more anxiety than anything else. I personally get very overwhelmed when there seems like things are piled up. Something that has helped me is getting a professional organizer. We've done it a couple times--once to help us with clutter, and then a couple times for move-ins! Very helpful! Another thing is FlyLady. It's helpful to break down the house into sections, which is what they help you do.

    Good Luck!

  • Why do you even watch a video like this if your going to judge!!! If you don't like it don't look!! I know, maybe you have a whoring problem smart aleck!!!

  • maybe you should start with the easiest room - like the bathroom. Even starting with one box is a start. Don't try to attack the whole thing at once - start small. Once you start, it'll feel good. Just like you eat at the same time everyday, set aside 15 minutes a day to go through a box.

If you want to keep some boxes, collapse them. Cut the tape and flatten them. Recycle the rest. If you were in CA, you'd get a nickle a piece for the plastic bottles!

  • wow...you should get rid of all the things that does not have value to you?
