  • A little off topic but I noticed you have Needless in your collection. Is that title worth the purchase? Just curious.

  • @Tomoya2D It has an interesting setting, but the backstory of the show is confusing. There is some fanservice comedy along with loli comedy because one of the characters has a loli fetish which makes it more funny IMO. The fights are like oldschool DBZ fights except without the slow power ups, but they have some long talks. The music is very good IMO. Plus the collections have small comedy shorts called "The Secret of Saint Lily Academy" which can be very funny if you laugh at fanservice.

  • There is something wrong with my view count, I just know it -_-.

  • man you got me exicited about this anime do you know any site that has the episodes in english dub? thanks.

  • @XxAnimeFanForLifeXx You can find them on the anime network (typed as: the anime network), Its a legal site. But the problem is that the first two episodes are free to watch, but the other episodes require a subscription. They update there site every Thursday, so each week a new episode is brought on the network.

Don't get to excited, look through on what YOU might like about Ef, I like it because of the music and style for scenes in animation. There is not a lot of comedy though.

  • @bradleyman13 thanks for your advice but it won't let me watch it

    Access Denied by Region :(

  • @XxAnimeFanForLifeXx I was talking with people about that problem. But I don't know how to solve that problem. Is there a UK release of the series coming out? If so, then it might be possible it will be available digitally. Now I feel stupid thinking, "all is right with the world" T_T. I'll look through more on it.

  • @XxAnimeFanForLifeXx Have you checked the UK site of Anime Network?

  • to be honest i have the money to buy these blu-rays but... there so empty just cd's unless its nisa releasing

  • @zGoldenDarkness It's okay, besides. You can just watch the show on there legal site, or VOD cable network. NIS does have good releases, I'm trying to save up for pandora hearts.

  • kids and teenagers I mean. dang autocorrect

  • DBZ criticism is pretty legitimate so it's okay. It is just that DBZ has main audience with life and teenagers as priority. ef definitely is more mature viewer friendly and truly something anime fans can be proud of. And yeah, the soundtracks of these shows are cut from another cloth. Just very unique.

  • @2GuysThatPlayGames Actually, this first season takes place in the original Japanese Otowa. The next season, Tale of Melodies takes place in the Australian replication of Otowa

  • DBZ is great camp fun. I feel the criticisms are a bit misplaced, considering the animation studio decided to add fillers on top. That said, ef shows are my fave! lovely writing and music! I envy you!

  • @Shippoyasha I apologize for my criticism then, I agree that DBZ is great if a bunch of people are watching. And I usually compare DBZ to somthing totally different to its genre (EX: DBZ VS NGE XD). But I only watched DBZ kai because it was the new thing that I kept hearing. I might not be able to watch the original series due to the dragon box prices and the blu ray release being suspended. The music in Ef was very deep, especially when people were just talking.

  • hi. ♥

  • Did you know that ef a tale of memories was set in Australia?

Also the second season is too.

  • I love the cover, the art looks nice. Let me know what you think :)

  • @elasalle2 The show is great so far(on episode 2). For problems to new fans, the animation is a little bit bad yet unique because when some characters are talking or moving, they zoom far out and keep a looped, still, or colorful image(probably to save the budget IMO XD). The english dub is amazing yet strange, the english voice actors use a lot of japanese honorifics. But I find that unique since I have never seen a dub that used so much honorifics and other japanese references.

  • @elasalle2 Finished it. The dub is the most superb dub that I have ever heard from Serephim Digital (solid A, on par with japanese dub). As the back says, it is bittersweet but with relating characters.

  • @bradleyman13 Great! Just bought it and can't wait for it to arrive!!

  • @elasalle2 I hope I didn't get your hopes up. Since I would feel sad for praising a series then finding out a person hates it because they listened to my opinion. Which what happened to me for listening to a childhood nostalgia opinion on Dragon Ball Z being the best thing ever.

  • @bradleyman13 Yeah Dragon Ball Z is pretty bad imo. I love shows like ef so don't worry about it! I'll let you know what I think when I finish it :) I'm getting a digital camera on tuesday so I was almost thinking of doing videos like you of my collection...

  • @elasalle2 But I think DBZ is fun to watch when you have a group of friends watching talking and laughing sarcastically about the flaws. I'm thinking of doing a "why to sustain the industry" video. But I needed to type a script/research paper about so I can follow it in my video, since I have a lot to talk about. But I want to make it understandable to people who don't, but I don't want it to be offensive so much that people will be trolling or flagging me.

  • $55 is Steep for a 12 episode anime, I would expect at that price it would at least be the Dvd combo pack, Like Funimation did with Baka and Test.

  • @EvilFefe I don't really like combo packs anymore. Well I'm at least glad sentai is now showing there anime titles at anime network. But I will still buy anime from them ever since I bought clannad on blu ray.
