@jlcame1994 Also I have single rotors so I notice more power loss upon application. If you have duel rotors you may not notice any loss . I can usually cook off the paste within a 1/4 mile or so of pumping the brakes on and off. You can also just treat one side of your rotor at a time to be safer. It has saved me many pad changes on my bike to say the least and has saved me the cost of new rotors. Hope that answers your question ? :-)
Due to insurance coverage I cannot recommend for you to use it on a motorcycle. However I use it on my Harley every few months cause my bike squeals and drives me crazy too lol. When applied on a motorcycle you will loose lot's of power ( be very careful ) I apply it just like the instructions say , but you cant clean it off with alcohol cause the rotor is too hot. So I drag the brakes and cook it off till my power comes back. After treatment you may use more pressure on the brakes in turns .
@humperfier But there the fastest shifter out there , and they allow you to move your brake lever over farther too for one finger braking. Another thing I like about after market grip shifters is that you can fine tune your front derailleur and get rid of any chain rub. Another good selling point is you don't have shifter buttons and levers grinding into your thumb and for finger while your riding. You don't have to release your grip almost at all while your shifting .
Respond to this video...And there a very few moving parts in a grip shifter , so they hold up better too. However I do respect personal preference and think you should use what you like regardless of all the reasons to switch to grip shift. :-)
@VastOceanCommuter Good question , its a special blend of abrasives that re surfaces the face of the pad's and the rotor to make a none harmonic relationship between the two. Being the pad's are pushing the paste into all the micro grooves of the rotor like a puzzle fitting together it treats the whole face of the rotor and pad.
Oil fell on my brakes and it squeaks very loud and I'm not able to brake as good ,, I read that when oil falls on the break it's no longer good .... what can I do??? Or should u buy new brake pads???PEASE HELP
@gabe91095 Yes you will have to replace your pads ( sorry ) . I have not seen or heard of any fix for a oil contaminated pad. I just watched a video of a guy at park tools using Squeal Out on a oil contaminated set of pad's ( which is a waste of time ) and of course it did not work. The forks were leaking on the pad's and fork oil is some nasty stuff lol. Don't however be surprised when you put new pad's on the old rotor and still get a squeal. This does tend to happen sometimes.
I would like to add that Squeal Out will not work on oil contaminated pad's . Sometimes if you have a leaking fork it will leak on your pad's. There is no cure when oil get's in the pad's . Marc Hanses
Just got done with an aggressive trail ride on my new Talus- got about 60 miles on it so far- and ive got the squeal! BAD! From info i gathered from the comments i will ask about this product @ my local dealer, if not i'll order from your site 2moro. thanks! can't wait lol
@mastersusaf Thanks , please write back on how it works for you . And also look at our tips for best results page on our website before use. It is critical that you follow the directions to a T . Have a great squeek free day !
My break squeal on my back break only ( thank god ) is so bad i have had to stop useing it, but it's not just the insanly laud squeal which make peaple have a heart attack when i stop near them but the virbrations are crazy, if your sat on the seat when you break it hurts your ass and everything i have tried hasent worked! Help
I have always had a problem with my brakes squeeling and it buged me so bad, I put this stuff on and havenot had a problem since, and I ride downhill and have all of the braking power back, thanks for a great product, i really recomend it.
I just tried this product on my bike two weeks ago. Brakes used to squeal bad. After two weeks of riding through dusty, rocky and wet conditions; still no squeal. This product really works.
Hey I really like your video. I can NEVER understand when directions read words like "sparingly" and "liberally". They mean different things to different people. I have a large fleet of hydraulic brake equipped bicycles I'm responsible for and this product really does work. Thanks for the visual instructions and keep up the good work. Good touch with the demonstration of the before and after squealing of the brakes on the bicycle.
I just watched your video. I'm taking a chance a purchasing a jar. I work for a Police Department as a bicycle mechanic and our training fleet has a serious problem with hydraulic squeal. I hope it works.
have you got hydrolic brakes ?? my back brake squeals like that . but the day i got the brakes they were fine no squeals i took it for a spin out for a few hours they wer soaked an they still worked but the next day they wer squaling worse than a horny nun xD HELP
@NORTHWALESDJ Weather mechanical or hydraulic Squeal Out will work. As of today our less expensive 3 oz jar's are available on our website. It sounds like you could use some lol. Horny nun's huh lol . I knew a girl that wanted to be a nun ,,,,,,,,, untill she found out what nun meant . Have a great day , and hope you try some Squeal Out soon.
Great vid. It shows how easy this process can be. I think the video instructions are much better than the text instructions because it seems way easier. At least for me i think the video explains how simple it actually is to apply your compound. I can't wait to try it!
@jmp112564 Hey thank you for your post , this is a new product so ask your local bike shop to get some , they can get it from their wholesalers . One is QPB another is Wilson most shops have a account with both of these wholesalers. We will have a 3oz jar soon that will cost $ 23.00 listed on out website for purchase. 3oz will treat many bikes it doesn't take much to get the job done as you can see. The 8 oz is for shops as they will use more of it consistently . Have a great day !
