Engine Co. 7 (the engine company in the video) was informed by the dispatch office that that particular intersection was, in fact, clear and safe to travel through to get to the call they were dispatched on. The crowd descended on the intersection before Engine 7 could reroute.

Things actually really got out of hand. They fucked up the firetruck and threw bottles at cop cars. A car driving down Mission was stomped on while the driver still in the car. I wouldn't be surprised if the driver was in intensive car. It was really pathetic and shouldn't have happened. I'm amazed that the media hasn't been covering this.
