["This is the scientific reality that the seeds of all common fruits (except citrus) contain vitamin B17, an anti-cancer vitamin. If we ingest proper quantities of these vitamins, either in the pure form or through ingesting the nitrilosidic foods, we will be able to prevent cancer just as surely as we are able to prevent scurvy by the use of vitamin C or pernicious anemia by the use of vitamin B12." — Ernest Krebs, Jr.]
The God I know never interferes and at most loves humans passively from a distance, so He might as well not exist. First step to fulfillment is realizing we're here on our own. All we have is each other. Your God wants you to "abandon" him, much like a father who wants to see his son grow up. Put away your Bible and only read it when you really have to, for it is medicine for the spirit, and the spirit, like the body, should not be medicated every day.
Scientific theory is not perfect, at best it is incomplete. Just like the mortal understanding of god. Ain't nothing wrong with god. Religion, however; can go take a flying leap. ;)
It can be a possibility that if there is a God it may turn out to be like nothing what religions around the world tell so does it make it okay? Not really since most people lived their lives under religion's heel and holding back most of their lives.
@Trickycandyfloss The bible is not well understood by those who respect it; and not at all by someone who never read it. Nowhere does it say that the earth is 6000 years old. It does say "a thousand years is as one day in God's sight, and one day as a thousand years". How many days in 6000 earth years? Multiply it by 1000. How old is the earth now? if God put this creation in place, nothing in His 'revealed word' contradicts observable science.
@Trickycandyfloss Tell me something I don't know about variation in the pigment of your skin, depending on where you live, moron, that I don't know. And if you're not just a flamethrower, give us PROOF that God does not exist. Hint: evolution is not an argument.
@Trickycandyfloss We are the best outcome for a species on this planet, fool; and the only species so evolved that we can destroy it in a matter of days. Who to "blame" that on? A God who made us creatures of free will, not instinct. Evolution happens, yes. Whose original idea was it? Just a random occurrence? Don't be so stupid in an open forum that you infer white people are more "evolved" than black people or that others don't have the same basic 8th grade education you have.
This lecture cannot deal with who created the human mind, or what mind conceived of us. We are made in the image and likeness of God, or a supreme rational intellect, if you prefer, whose boundaries we cannot fathom. We are hardwired to look for God. That search is proof of His existence.
Religion is a testament to unwitting genius of the process of evolution, and proves its even possible for a placebo to need a warning label. Religion seems to use humanity in exactly the same way we use domesticated animals; inducing us to become merely the flesh of some other entity. And to actually experience pride for doing so. I wonder if an ant that's "high" on a lancet fluke feels a similar enlightenment.
I think evolution is true on the fact that the human species did evolve but was then altered by the Elohim which made man who he is today. I believe that before the Elohim altered are DNA there were several different types of primates on the earth in different areas of the earth which is why you get so many different races. These primates were then used by spirit beings from the spirit world to experience physical life. Why isn't their any evidence for the spirit world the spirit world?
@manz900, How could a supernatural realm, or spirit world, possibly interact with the natural world of matter/energy time/space? If it could have any effect on any part of the natural world (change it in some way) then that effect would be considered just another aspect of the natural world itself--there would be no reason to call it supernatural. We already know of aspects of the natural world that suggest there is something outside or beyond it from physics (quantum non locality, dark energy)
@TheFlanker35 OK, I understand. If you want to think that human beings evolved and then cease to exist then that's fine. If you want to believe human beings are all their is in the universe because science hasn't found evidence for other alien races then fine live your pointless life. Darwin cam up with his theory in the 1800s and here we are in 2010 and you people still hold it as truth. Their are so many scientists who say Darwinism isn't even science.
@TheFlanker35 Darwinism is a scientific theory accepted as fact. Its amazing that in the age of technology people still believe a man who traveled around in a primative ship. Why is it when people in support of your favorite theory show human beings and comapred them to other primates there examples are always the most ape looking people or african americans. Why not show brad pit or harrisen Ford and compare them to primates. I have accepted that yes my body is a primate body.
@TheFlanker35 MY body is a primate body but currently I am only borrowing this body to experence physical existence with the soul group I agreed to incarnated with.
I find it very strange but all praises be to the One who created the heavens and the earth, who made darkness and light and the unbelievers with their lord balance.
@wahnano, If you think god is "all that" just imagine what a remarkable entity He must be grateful for! Why not skip the middle men and just worship the ultimate meta-god directly? Metaphysics itself.
@ananiasacts: I respect that you believe in what your senses are telling you that's God and you name it metaphysics, and I'm not allowed to tell you you are wrong or right. I believe that the GOD is the creator of all what you can perceive with your senses and all what you can't perceives with your senses AND I deserve the same respect. "..with their Lord they balance"
@wahnano, the trouble with asking for respect is that the word has two different meanings. In the first and most common use, it connotes admiration, which someone who believes in socially dysfunctional mythological garbage most definitely does not deserve. Quite the contrary--they warrant extreme contempt. The other definition EVERYONE deserves (even the most loathsome scum on earth) because it only demands due regard for their rights. I would never, and have never, advocated anything less.
@ananiasacts: I totally agree with you when you said someone who believe in "socially dysfunctional mythological garbage" but remember that all what we are doing is assuming ni plus ni moins. Good luck with your assuming and please which me good luck with my assuming.
1. How does/did evolution effect your beliefs when u know how it works? Why?
2. Did u choose your religion or were u born into it?
3. Why do other religions produce "results" and/or "miracles"? ( Either it is one god pulling all the strings, which is confusing as to why he would do that)
4. When did the "soul" (and i can tell u my definition for that if u request) be "placed" or "evolve" into homo sapiens?
I must agree "religion" is man made but, God is the one who made man not the other way around. The way you explain "religion" is why Christianity is not a religion but faith in an undeniable truth. There may be timeline problems but that would not be because God is not God it would be because man is finite and God is infinite with no past present or future. It is not my place to say you will be spending eternity in hell it is my prayer and hope your eyes will be open to the truth.
God does not exsist, I agree man made religion, this is mainly due to being unable to explain or understand science. I dont get people who talk to thin air, or pray to nothing. I thing all religious people need to open there eyes to the truth that religion is a fad, which had caused more world issues than anything else... time is infinite, nothing else. that my friend is the reality.
@selfdeification, if you know you're a good person, shouldn't you want to go to hell on the off chance that you might be able to convince Satan to give up his hopeless revolt against goodness?
One of the BEST lectures I've heard in a long time. It's wonderful to know that this is being taught in higher education, and should be taught earlier.

You should write B-movies for the Syfy channel. It'll give me something to watch on Saturday morning besides cartoons.
