As dumb as this guy is, I want to point out that global warming is not only still a theory, but the theory says that it is the ENHANCEMENT of the greenhouse effect, and the natural ice age cycles of the Earth. So yes, global warming is almost definately occurring because of humans, but adaptation will be an important part of dealing with it, as well as cutting CO2 and other emissions.

I think it more likely you misunderstand the CAUSAL DIRECTION of the majority of climate change skeptics' positions.

Many people disagree with or are skeptical of the science in the first place, and therefore see no reason to pursue fairly radical policies, with unfavorable economic/political impact, that would only make sense if the science of human-caused climate change were correct, and are just detrimental if that science is not correct.

However, any scientist who dares to question the dogma of climate change is fairly swiftly sidelined by scientists and others who are so convinced of the unshakable truth of their position that they have no tolerance for even hearing out another point of view, much like the Catholic church at the time of Galileo--not a conspiracy, just an effort to silence outspoken critics believed to be dangerous.
