I totally agree on the German Shepherd. My practical number 1 is a Cairn Terrier which is your nos 5. I have a Cairn x at the moment and they are a great dog and more practical for my needs. GSDs are my dream dog number 1 but totally unsuitable for me but I can still dream.

never own a Siberian husky you put it in a yard smaller them one acre.and leave it to long that dog will go crazy and eat you.

@alexpain100 not ALL huskys have curly tails, I show dogs and most of the show huskys don't have that big curl, my friends husky Nikita doesn't, just thought I'd let you know ;)

The reason why german sheperds are always 1st on the list is because there sooooo common everyone has a german shepard I love Border collies there not to common there more on there farm.

A nice collection of breeds. There are so many great dog breeds out there. Today I passed a car with a huge black Newfoundland sticking his head out the window, an awesome dog. I'm particularly fond of Dobermans, Rhodesian Ridgebacks and most terrier breeds but at the moment my favorite dog in the world is my daughter's Golden Retriever. Dogs are great companions any way you look at it and no matter what shape they come in.
