I know that was a while ago now, but just some tips for training a young cavalier, since he/she is not used to he's/her name jet, don't use it to often, then he/she won't obey that easy, try to use other word or sounds when they are young to get their attention(if that is the problem) :)
Love your Ruby! We just adopted our 4 month old female Ruby KC Spaniel last week. I cant get over what good dogs they are!!! She is so comfortsble and sociable and cute and kind and cuddly...i can't run out of adjectives to describe this breed. Best to u...we named our Ruby ...starting to feel she deserves a more imaginative name now. :(
